오늘 이야기는 스노클링에 대한 내용이예요. 전문은 아트래블 7월호에서 만나볼 수 있어요.

I can't imagine that I don't go into the sea when I come to Okinawa. That's why we reservated snorkelling agency for it. The popular couse of blue cave snorkelling was impossible because of high wave. But we didn't have tomorrow. We decided to sea real Okinawa face.

오키나와에 와서 바다에 들어가지 않는다는 건 상상하지 못했기에 우리는 업체를 통해 스노클링을 하기로 결심했다. 유명한 푸른 동굴로 들어가는 코스는 당일 파도가 높아 불가능. 그렇지, 우리에겐 내일이 없지. 대신 오키나와 바다의 맨 얼굴을 보기로 한다.

That day's snokelling guide was Mr. Misuki who has bronze skin and gentle smile. He welcomed us. Soon we jump to the sea as he guided us. We grap bread and fishes follow us to eat it. We could see fish dancing. Fishes slided by our fingers. Our cells worked hard to feel it. Mr. Misuki was busy to take a picture us. (Later we found that we couldn't overcome fear of sea, thus we gethered in the pictures)

오늘의 스노클링 가이드 미즈키상이 구릿빛 건강한 피부와 서글서글한 미소로 우리를 반긴다. 그리고 이내 그가 이끄는 보드에 연결된 밧줄을 잡고 바다로 첨벙. 손에 쥐어진 빵조각이 흐느적흐느적 댄스를 추며 오키나와의 물고기들을 이리와 이리와 불러댄다. 얼마 되지 않아 노란 물고기, 파란 물고기, 은색 물고기들이 손끝을 스쳐 지나간다. 찌릿찌릿. 녀석들을 제대로 감각하고 싶어 세포마다 열일을 한다.
미즈키상은 우리의 모습을 연신 수중카메라에 담기 바쁘다(나중에 보니 수영을 못한다는 두려움을 극복하지 못해 줄에 얼기설기 엮여 있는 사진들만 잔뜩 찍혔다).

We stretched our hands under the sea. That day was very fresh.

그 사실을 모른 채 물속 멀리 손을 뻗어본다. 요리조리 손을 감고 도는 물고기들. 하루가 이렇게 싱싱하다.
