The first Travel Agent - A small work of good will can lead you to success.
Greetings community of steemit today I want to share a great reflection on a person whose name was recorded in the story. That person is Thomas Cook, was born in Melbourne on November 22, 1808 and is known as the First Travel Agent in history. It all started with a trip in 1841 to Leicester for more than 500 members of a community of alcohol rehabilitation people, the reason for the trip was an anti-alcohol conference. At that time he could not imagine the repercussion that organizing this would bring, even though that trip did not give him economic gains, it was a great impulse for Cook since it led him to start big projects that still bear fruit.
After his first great success, in 1851 he was commissioned to organize a trip to London for 165,000 people to the universal exhibition to be held that year in the city, then in 1855 he organized another trip to the Paris exhibition. Thomas Cook was the man who made fashionable beautiful Switzerland, making propaganda of its nature, in addition to its perfect characteristics for rest and get a respite of relief in mental health. In the year 1866 he made a trip to the United States to negotiate with multiple railway companies and thus make tourism with American services.
The human being seeks to be successful in everything he undertakes and it is important to bear in mind what we will achieve or what the end of what we do is. While many seek to be successful in order to be recognized, there are others who try to help society to evolve every day without seeking any fame, only a common benefit, such acts full of integrity mark a before and after history, as well as Cook did. Today we all have the possibility to set a precedent with our ideas and dreams, you just have to try and always maintain integrity because a small work of good will can lead you to success.
