Springtime In The Pocono Mountains

# Pocono Mountains A Fun Place to Visit  

I just love living in the Pocono Mountains and the spring is the my favorite time of the year. It is located in  the Northeastern section of Pennsylvania and is approximately 90 minutes from New York City & 2 hours from Philadelphia PA. The Pocono mountain region is made up of 4 counties Monroe, Pike, Carbon & Wayne covering 2400 square miles . The environment consists of rolling mountain terrain,   breathtaking waterfalls, thriving woodlands and rivers which total 170 miles. 

Although the Poconos is an exciting place to visit any time of the year, my favorite time is April thru late  May  . The region is  is wide open to any traveler  with over 261 miles for both hiking and biking trails, 35 beautiful golf courses, rafting, boating, fishing & other outdoor activities. 

Visitors will find comfortable , convenient accommodations in these beautiful mountains which offers a diverse mixture of resorts, remarkable properties, & cunning country inns & beds and breakfasts. There is much history in this part of the country, with year round cultural tours and art exhibitions , abundant antique shows &  shopping outlets .  If you are  looking for music & food festivals there is a full calendar of events covering the full year. 

The Pocono mountains make an ideal  destination for a routine family vacation, or reunion , corporate meeting or convention , wedding or a simple weekend getaway.
