Family business

My family has a wonderful apartment which was usually rented and used as an office or private home.

The last people who were living there left around January, and at that time I suggested my mother to try out Airbnb. She said why not, so we started planning.

And now, after 2-3 months of preparation the apartment is ready and being advertised on the famous travel platform. I am really proud we made it.
It brings a lot more income to the family and we get to meet a lot of awesome people which is also a great experience :)

Responsibilities

Sure, doing this business is super fun and profitable but of course it comes with lots of work as well. I am the 'brain' behind the operation since I am the only one in the family who speaks English. The guests contact me regarding everything and I am the one responsible for the reservations. My mother is the designer and usually she cleans the apartment between two bookings. She hands over and collects the keys upon check in and outs. I wanted this part to be my job but I just started working at a dev company and can't leave during the day.

We really try to make everything work out and to grant the best possible experience for the guests.
The apartment might be one of the best accomodations of the city so I think it really just depends on our efforts to get the maximum out if it.
