FLYING WITHOUT WINGS IN THE HIGHEST BRIDGE OF THE PHILIPPINES
Leyte, Philippines, not only houses the longest bridge in the country, the famous San Juanico Bridge, but is also the home of the tallest in the country--Agas-Agas Bridge. This bridge is located at Sogod, Southern Leyte, and is 292 feet tall.
Aside from being iconic on its own right, Agas-Agas hosts different kinds of adventure--zipline and cable car. I tried both (on different times). But I enjoyed the thrill of doing the zipline, that I've done it twice already. I also tried riding in the cable car, enjoying the view from up above, but it's a little boring for me. Haha!
We arrived at the bridge with dense fog, almost zero visibility.
But since we travelled for three hours (from Tacloban), we excitedly jumped off the car and courageously marched into the bridge.
After a few picture here and there, we climbed up to our ultimate goal, to the zipline's reception area.
It was still foggy when we got there. The cable lines vanished in the thick fog! How can I muster up courage to do the zipline?!?
But after a couple of minutes it slowly cleared up, thankfully.
And now it is our turn. Yes, my knees were shaking, but I still faked a smile!!! 😂😂😂 I was hiding my fear all along.
So after a dozen of huge breaths, because I can literally hear my heartbeat pounding so loud, almost breaking my chest, I shouted at the top of my voice!
Only the first few seconds in the zipline was nerve-wracking. After which, after conquering your fear, is joy. Joy that you did not cower, joy that you made it, joy that you experienced flying like a bird!
The lush green forest beneath is a wonderful sight. Gigantic trees looked like small matches. This view from above makes me so little. It is just humbling. I remember saying a prayer or two, thanking Jehovah God for this wonder.
I saw a small rapids (this picture was taken before doing the zipline).
Trying this twin zipline, that is one of the longest in the country, extremely tried my nerves yet it's very fulfilling. I am glad that I had fly without wings.
Special thanks to Sir @exploretraveler and @zhayie03, because your recent blogs reminded me of this thrilling moments.
I'm also grateful for my #kryptonia family and my #taclobanph family.
Thank you for flying with me,
Ging

Haha I remember your comment about agas-agas bridge on my post. Wow! You had been tried the zipline for real. How was the feeling while flying? Wow. You're brave! I can't do it what you've done.. hahaha. 😂😂
