Sleepless in Seattle

After exploring and wondering around Seattle Washington, I can finally understand Sleepless in Seattle and the irony of the title. Seattle is a city that sleeps at night and is wide awake at 6am. Unlike European cities, Barcolona, which opens at 9pm and closes at around 6am, Seattle is a rare find. A city that has an amazing early morning vibe and encourages you to rise early and go to sleep around 9pm.

Median Income: $83,476

A city with 64.3% White, 14.7 Asian, 6.6% Black, and 6.4 Hispanic.

Seattle Crime rate is 91% higher then the average of the United States. Which is insane because from the looks of it and driving through the city you would never think of that. The City is 70% democratic voters, yet has one of the highest crime rates in the US. Thus the amount of police on the streets are also 2 per every 1000 people, which is still not enough in this high crime City.

So what attracts people to Seattle?

If you can look past the crime rate, almost everyone we have encountered has been extremely nice, kin, with smiling faces and great conversations. So it really puzzles me to see these types of statistics but facts will remain facts.
