Munich is a paradise for dogs

Munich is a dog's paradise. They are welcome almost everywhere: restaurants, shopping malls, parks. And public transport is even for free for dogs!

We love to live in Munich. Most often we don't even need a leash in the public areas. Of cause we leash Mable in the streets for safety.

Today we took a nice autumnal walk in the English Garden, a huge park along the Isar River. It's even bigger than New York's Central Park.

And it's the place to be for dogs. Officially leashes are mandatory, but nobody bothers according to Bavaria's motto "Live and let live".

Not only dogs and people do enjoy the meadows and forests. There are 12 km sandy paths for horses and even this area with obstacles to jump.

Three streams are crossing the park. They feed several ponds. And Mable loves to splash in them. Can you see her despite of her camouflage?

One of about half a million trees in the English Garden. It still has its leaves. Others have already prepared themselves for ice and snow. Still the meadows are green in Munich whilst in the near Alps there's already a lot of snow.

The trails in the park sum up to 78 km. We made 6 km today. But Mable was satisfied. Meeting so many other dogs, playing tag...

...and just enjoying life.
