Cross country skiing in winter wonderland
Winter wonderland near Wildbad Kreuth on lake Tegernsee in Bavaria. The right place for some action!
My car computer says minus 13° C. The perfect temperature for a fast cross country skiing tour! The snow was ultra hard and deeply frozen.
It was on Sunday when I went to the mountains before breakfast to enjoy some nice winter fitness.
My wife and my dog Mable were still cuddling in bed when I arrived at the loipe.
It was a nice circular tour along the wild Weissach river.
I chose a route without too steep hills. Still my butt kissed the ground twice 🙄 But apart from my ego nothing was hurt.
12 km and almost 1.5 hours later I was back at my car. I know, 7.5 minutes per km doesn't qualify for the Olympics. But I had to stop very often to take photos 😉
It was the first time this season that I stood on my xc-skiers. I can feel it in my thighs today. But it was fun nevertheless.
I love your blog! You're so lucky to have this beautiful nature close to you. 😊
Thank you so much! I do know how lucky I am 🙂
