Visit with me! #15 - 5 amazing places in Barcelona (Catalonia, Spain)
Hi my steemians friends,
As you know, I live in Barcelona for a few months. I have not visited everything yet so I feel every day like a tourist when I leave my home hahaha. It's fun and it allows me to discover unexpected places and things. This week I have the visit of a very great friend so I took the opportunity to visit places that I did not know. I will share with you this visit the friends!
Are you ready for a virtual tour of Barcelona ???
Let's go my friends!
The first stage was the Picasso Museum. We went to the museum around 2 pm but to our surprise, there was a protest by the striking museum workers. The museum was closed until 6 pm but the good news is that it would be exceptionally free!
We then changed our plan and went for a stroll along the beach ...
This is what I like in this city, you have the big city side but also the sea, the mountain and nature nearby. What's better than a little trip to the beach to recharge the batteries?
This beach is so crowded with tourists and merchants of all kinds that I prefer to go to other beaches for me to strap or tan. On the other hand, to walk along the seafront, it's perfect!
After our walk, we went to eat at the restaurant "Brunch & Cake".
A really nice spot with revisited and original dishes like the waffle with caramelized onions, but, cheddar, bacon and truffle syrup.
You can order brunch, prepared eggs, a special burger or delicious salads at any time of the day!
We started by refreshing ourselves with pressed fruit juice! yummmmmy
Then my friend ordered a house hot dog with sweet potato fries and eggs benedict. A tasty mix!
I ordered a salad poke bowl with salmon, edamame, and seasonal vegetables. Super fresh and yummy!
We had no appetite for dessert so the dishes were plentiful.^^ It's sad because they looked delicious!
To digest, we did some shopping in the streets of Barcelona! I love it =).
At 5.30 pm we went back to the Picasso Museum and we were in the first to enter.
It was busy but the visit was worth it!
I appreciate very much Pablo Picasso because, like Dalí, he has many artistic styles. Here are some of my favorite works:
After visiting the Picasso Museum, we went to the shopping center "Las Arenas",
not for shopping this time but to climb the rooftop and have the view of the city. It's 2 euros to climb to the elevator that will take you on a platform. It's worth it because you have an incredible view of Montjuic and its castle.
This is where we decided to go down to visit Montjuic Park and luckily, the sound and light show was going to start in an hour.
Flamingirl's Tips: arrive at least an hour in advance (at 8 pm) to have a good place to see the show. Don't go too close to the fountains if you do not want to take a big shower during the show. XD
The Magic Fountain's sound and light show is free and lasts an hour (from 9pm to 10pm).
And it's a pure moment of happiness and dream!
This is the end of this virtual tour of Barcelona and I am happy to have shared it with you.

I really enjoyed this post, Barcelona is one of the most beautiful places I've ever traveled to and hope to go back sometime in the near future. Beautiful beaches, beautiful people, the food , the architecture, the weather. Barcelona is a truly wonderful place. Be sure to visit the sagrada familia, an architectural wonder that took roughly 150 years to build. When Gaudi took on the project he knew he would never see it finished. Truly Amazing! Je vous souhaite beaucoup de bonheure pendant votre voyage.
