ONE OF THE LARGEST MUSEUMS IN THE UNITED STATES

Traveling to Boston is not a complete adventure without visit some of its incredible museums, the best thing of all is that you can visit it every day of the year. The places I visited with the Boston City Pass were spectacular, the first place I went was at the Skywalk Observatory at the Prudential Tower, it was a unique experience to climb to the top floor of a skyscraper, I left all this experience in the previous post. The 2nd place I went with this fantastic pass was nothing more and nothing less than the 5th largest museum in the United States, it is the Museum of Fine Arts, that is, the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston opened in 1876.

Arriving at the museum is very simple, it is in the center of Boston and it is possible to get there by bus, taxi or subway, I used the subway which by the way caught my attention that the subway system in Boston is not completely underground, because For example, the Museum of Fine Arts station is at normal street level. Already in the area of ​​the museum I found a lot of snow on a completely clear day, beautiful and sunny, I could almost forget the 4 ° C.

The Museum of  Fine Arts is a must for all those who travel to Boston, here you will need at least 2 days to explore everything, do not be scared because there are even restaurants so you can eat without having to leave. It is impressive the amount of works of art, historical pieces and the great amount of  history that these enormous spaces house, you can cross it in different orders and visit the exhibitions of the moment of painting, pieces of art that are part of the history of each one of them. the continents such as Egyptian sculptures, jewelry and sarcophagi, as well as works by leading European and American artists.

When I entered I found a sign like a typical photo exhibition room that reminds us of what is allowed and not done inside the museum's facilities, all in a fun and visually pleasing way. After that I went directly to the painting exhibition room, where the beautiful watercolor works of the American painter John Singer Sargent were, I was amazed by seeing these paintings so realistic and beautiful, coming to seem in my opinion photographs. Do not they seem beautiful?.

I have to tell you that this room is enabled every so often to give more spreading to a specific artist with all his great works, so at this moment in this room is the exhibition of some other great artist, to know the exhibitions that They will have all year round you can enter directly to their website where the schedule is and you can schedule your visit if you are interested in seeing any specific exhibition.

To tell you that the museum is great is lie to you, it is huge! for something is considered the 5th largest in the country and also one of the oldest with more than 450,000 works inside, this will realize when you take half a day and review the guided map see all you need to see, the map they give us on entering became as good a friend of mine as my camera, I did not stop visiting each space and taking pictures, without flash of course because it is not allowed to use it. I saw the picture on the map and found the spot where it was taken, do not hesitate to try to imitate it haha.

The museum is beautiful in all its nuances and despite the entire day I spent here and the huge amount of photos I captured I missed much more to know, however I could see the rooms for the pieces of arts that had the European royal families of hundreds years ago, and when I say pieces of arts, I talk to you about their tables, chairs, dinnerware, thousands of pieces of their day to day details that we realize that they are really works of art.

There are also rooms destined for fixed painting exhibitions of great artists such as Rembrandt, Monet and Van Gogh, they are such large rooms that I would dare to call them "areas or zones" because they even have their own corridors and a suitable environment for the exhibition. There are also photography exhibitions, in my case I could enjoy an exhibition of an Iranian artist.

In addition to the painting and photography areas I visited one of the most recognized within the museum and it is the area destined to Egypt with a permanent and amazing exhibition, I was really impressed by the quantity of original pieces that date back thousands of years, sculptures, sarcophagi and even pieces of original jewelry and preserved to this day to appreciate them in this museum.

The permanent exhibitions are not only those of painting and Egyptian art, in truth there are more than 450,000 works in permanent exhibition of which in a whole day I think I did not see half, I was impressed with every gallery I was seeing, other areas that I liked very much were musical instruments from all over the world of all ages and years, exhibition of precious stones with pieces of jewelry of an authentic queen and of course the exhibition of Asia that is huge!, this one in particular has many divisions such as Chinese art and Japanese art, within the latter highlight the more than 5000 pieces of Japanese ceramics and the exhibition dedicated to the history of the Samurai in Japan with weapons and royal armor preserved and in permanent exhibition.
