Extreme Romance in Japan. Beautiful Kobe city #4
Hello, world! Extreme Romance is back with the last part of being tourists in Japan.
This time we will show you a little bit of city life in Kobe and a hiking in Miyajima.
Kobe also known as a port city, welcomed us with a stunning view from ropeway which we took to Kobe Nunobiki Garden. Surrounded by flowers, herb garden is ensconced in the mountain above the picturesque city.
Kobe Nunobiki Herb Gardens are Japan’s largest herb gardens with about 75,000 herbs and flowers of about 200 kinds blooming throughout the year.
Honestly, for us, it wasn't the best time to visit that garden, because it all seemed dried out :D Not a surprise actually, it was really hot and sunny during the end of August. But we weren't sad, cuz we had a chance to go hiking and we explored so many adorable places like waterfall, the bridge, and mysterious woods :)
The waterfall was so peaceful and we wanted to stay there for a long time and just to stare at it and think about nothing because sometimes it's healthy.
And then the bridge from a fairy tale.
The best part of this story has arrived! Everything started with another one ropeway. We got to a stunning place with amazing views, just like wallpapers for your phone.
Hiking, hiking, hiking! Even while writing this post, I get the same goosebumps as during the hike! The route was quite interesting but a bit too short for us, just about 2.5 kilometres, however the half of the hike was steep and we needed to balance our energy. We met a lot of people during the hike, seems like this place is popular among the tourists.
The nature is so magnificent! It makes you stop every minute to take brilliant pictures, because when else you will be in Japan? :)))
Yan is always looking for some adventure or a bit of extreme even if it is not possible, hahah.
He goes like, 'Oh, Juta I'll try to climb on that rock and you will take a picture of me as soon as I got there.' And you know what? He got there in like 30 seconds. Seems like you can do everything for a good shot :)
Get out of your comfort zone!!
After that we started our way back to hotel. Hiking down through some mysterious but yet so peaceful woods.
After so fulified day we went out for an evening Kobe walk.
Honestly, that night we wanted to try some real sushi rolls, but ended up in a real japanese restaurant having the best meal in our life. We ordered starters, the soup, marbled meat and a dessert. Mamma mia, the taste of the meat just melted us away. That's what we call exploring another country kitchen culture! In one word AMAZING!
Looks like you had a fun full day. That is one of my favorite ways to spend a day as well. Hiking through exotic lands, then eating their exotic foods. Great post!
What else do you need for happiness ? :) Hopefully, one day we will be on same continent and hike together :)
That would be great. I'm sure we'd have a blast. You guys look like good company :)
great post. makes it really hard to NOT want to go there. Is Kobe the city where the famous Beef is coming from and was it maybe the one you tried in the restaurant?
You definitely should go there. :) Yes, Kobe marble beef was the one we had and it was definitely the best and most delicious meat we tried in our lives.
sounds delicious. I once had the chance to try it in a German restaurant but it was 50€ for the Steak. 😳
For the whole dinner that day we payed 150$+....Totally worth it :)
Looks awesome! I went to Japan in the winter this year so didn't get to do any extreme hiking.. but I'm always down for some excitement!
Thank you! We wish we could do more hiking and get ourselves into more adventures, but we were pretty limited in time. That's why we are going to visit this wonderful country again.
How long did you stay in japan and which cities have you visited ?
We went for about for almost 2 weeks went to Tokyo, Hakone, Kyoto, Osaka! I especially loved the charm of Kyoto. Did you use the JR pass?
Kyoto was our favourite too.. Especially Arashiyama bamboo groove.
Yes we did use JR pass, otherwise it would be too expensive.
Great photos!
