🏝Islands, islands and more islands 🏝

The place where I am staying is looking towards many islands. Island Pasman is the biggest one and most populated. It is also a popular tourist place and for those who like this kind of stuff there is a nudist camp located on the west side of the island.

The few smaller islands settled between Turanj and Pasman.

Bisage is the name of the three linked islands. One of them was bought by the local guy when it was really cheap. He then built a house within the rocks of the island. The house has a terrace with grill, a yard, a dock and a beach. You can rent a house/island completely to yourself for around 3000€ a month.

But the best story and the best island around is the famous “Island of Love”. It is located only 3 minutes away by boat from my place. You must have seen the pictures of this island online, or on the postcards(if you ever received one from Croatia 😂). It is unbelievable how nature shaped this island, which is now one of the top selling images of tourism in Croatia. The nature on the island is untouched and it is now the most wanted destination for couples to get engaged there. It would be great if people could get married there, but it would also mean that it’s nature would get disrupted. There were a lot of similar requests in the local community but for the reason above, and also because the community thinks the island would lose its charm, all the requests were declined. Five years ago my husband and I carved our initials in one of the trees on the island, and whenever we get a chance we stop by to see if it’s still there. Luckily, it is 😍
