How London's Camden Locks works in pictures
Camden Locks are famous for the nearby fashion market, but these locks are actually still operating. What is even more interesting is that it is still a manual process.
Step 1: The upper lock is manually opened.
Step 2: The boat gets in the lock and the upper lock is closed.
Step 3: With a crank the valve of the lower lock is raised so the water can get out.
Step 4: The water gets out and the boat is lowered.
Step 5: The lower lock is opened (in this case by a guy pushing with his ass).
Step 5: The boat gets out.
All pictures taken by myself.
