Part II: Another Day in a Paradise in the Desert (Dubai)!

I figured I would pickup where I left off with Part I of Another Day in a Paradise in the Desert (Dubai)! Got some good looks at it, so I thought I'd share a few more pictures and ideas from the United Arab Emirates.

We had a chance to visit the Atlantis on the Palm, a man made stem off of Dubai.

This is beyond a beautiful place, with a nice large aquarium that any sea-lover would love to see.

Very much in the Dale Chihuly glass tower fashion, he has one of his beautiful works of art displayed in the center of the lobby. My wife and I were so tired, we lounged on the coach for about 2 hours just to rest and take in the beauty of the tower
.

The next day, we took time to enjoy the hotel we stayed at on the Palm which was beyond beautiful, about 10 degrees cooler, and you can see the curve of the Palm here.

We had a chance to swim on the beach and I've been told the sand/rock mixture that makes up the Palm comes from Indonesia, amongst other countries, that they shipped in.

To end off the afternoon, I decided to put my Gutra (head gear) on to protect myself from the heat, enjoy the beach with the beautiful backdrop of Dubai behind me.
