13 weeks in Asia: Kuta (Lombok)

So, the next day I went to Kuta, the South of Lombok. I immediately felt a nice vibe. I booked for 2 nights, but eventually I stayed there for 5 nights. I guess everyone will have a good time there. I've met some people that just enjoyed the nice beaches. One of the beaches is Tanjung Aan. The beaches are all very large with only a few of tourists and beautiful clear water. If you buy some food, the beds on the beach are for free. So, lay down, have a coconut and relax!
Myself, I enjoyed the beaches as well, but I also wanted to go on adventure. I went to the waterfalls Benang Kelambu and Air Terjun Benang Stokel. I jumped from a cliff of 8m into the water. It was quite something for me! On my way back from the waterfalls, I made a stop at Sade village and Sukarara village. It was nice to visite, but these villages were rather an opportunity for the locals to sell some stuff.
At the waterfalls, I've met a English teacher. He asked me to join his the next day to his school. What an opportunity! He picked me up at 8 and I spend the whole morning there. The children had never seen a tourist so they were quite impressed (just like me). I got the change to learn the children how to introduce themselfs.

Other days, I woke up early to go to yoga class and have a massage. I would recommend mana retreat for this.
In the evening, I went out for dinner and drinks. I went to Ashtari: a nice place with life music and a great view (see picture). Other nice places for dinner are Bamba, the rooftop and especially take a chance to eat at a local bar, there are plenty of them. Nice places to have a drink are Yogi and the bus.

After these 5 days, I took a plane to Bali. I will tell you more about this in my next post!
