My first travel this year 2018(SAGADA Mt. Province)

in #travel7 years ago (edited)

SAGADA is my first travel this year 2018. It was a 12hrs long drive from Manila and it makes us tired sitting in the Van.

We left our meeting place, Mall of Asia at around 9:00PM. After the long drive, we arrived at Benguet at 6 in the morning and we're happy that we were able to catch up the sunrise. We stop here for a while to take pictures with the beautiful sunrise.

After taking pictures, we continued our ride to Sagada. On our way, I've noticed that the road is too scary because it is only one way. Most vehicles are too fast and was overtaking that made it scarier. If your driver is not alert, it maybe possible that you will fall into the cliff. Luckily we had a very good and careful driver so we are all at ease and arrived there safe and sound.

We finally reached Sagada around 11:00am then we proceed to our lodge to take a little time to rest and prepare for our first adventure.

We go to the nearest restaurant and had our lunch before we started our journey.

After we finished our lunch, we proceed to our first destination Sumaguing Cave

Sumaguing Cave has the biggest chamber, and called “The Big Cave.” Inside are countless rock formations slowly shaped by nature over thousands of years. These rock formations familiar shapes are the highlight of this spelunking adventure. Some of these formations include the bear, elephants, turtle head, chocolate cake, and pregnant woman.Sumaguing Cave is probably the most popular of all tourist attractions in town.

This is what I'ved enjoyed here

After a tiring day at Sumaguing Cave we go back to our lodge to take a rest.We need to have more energy for our second day adventure here in Sagada.

Day 2:Keltipan Peak is the best area to await for the sunrise in Sagada. Giving you a view of the Kiltepan Rice Terraces from below.

The trail to Kiltepan is filled with Pine trees and its scent on a early morning breeze is the best thing to experience at Sagada.

We left the hotel at 4am to get to this place at 5am

A different experience for us waiting for the sunrise with about a hundred tourists around holding up their cameras and smart phones.Kiltepan Peak was no different.By 6am it was so packed with people it felt like we were in Divisoria during christmas season. There was no sea of clouds (only sea of people and mobile phones waiting for the sunrise).

Sea of people(not sea of clouds) 😂.

Food is no good and over priced but there isn't much choices around. It would be best if you brought your own food.

Sagada:The Episcopal Church of St.Mary the Virgin

Whoa! This is my first time to visit an old church as older than my grandparents

St.Mary the Virgin is most popular church in small town of Sagada. This is the only one big church here.

From the church, you can drop also to the place where they weave which they called Sagada Weaving.

But if you entered on this area strictly "No Taking of Pictures" Sagada Weaving has been weaving quality products such as bags, slippers and souvenirs. But the highlight of our visit was our brief moment inside the work hall, where we witnessed the workers create colorful fabrics using wooden weaving looms. It was quite fantastic how complicated, painstaking and patience-testing the whole thing seemed to me.
