[ENG]MY DUBAI HOLIDAY 2017-tips
Hello people and welcome to my blog.
Here I tell you how our Dubai holiday 2017 was. I hope, I can give you some tips for your upcoming Dubai vacation enjoy reading.
We booked our Dubai vacation in February and flew there in July / August for 9 days. We had booked with half board which was really beneficial.
We flew from Italy to Moscow and from Moscow to Dubai with the Russian airline Aeroflot. The flight was ok and the food too.
There we had a small problem, our luggages were gone, Yes that was a shock, imagine how it feels like when everything you packed for the trip was gone with your luggages and you get there with sweatpants and a T-shirt! Luckily there was a woman who were checking about other people who had the same problem!
Then they told us that the suitcases at the intermediate landing (Moscow) were forgotten to transport in the next plane.
Then we were told to go to an office and describe how the suitcases looked like and which hotel we had booked so they could send them back directly to that hotel which was pretty good! Everything clarified so far, we made our way outside to take a taxi and drove to the hotel. When we took the first step outside, we were hit by a heat of 38 degrees at 1 o'clock in the morning, heard right, 38 degrees. That was really warm, even the humidity did not make it any better. We took a taxi and went to the hotel named Waldorf Astoria Palm Jumeirah.
The hotel was just top class. We had a beautiful room with a fantastic view. luckily the next morning our suitcases arrived, because we just wanted to get out to the pool and the beach, but without swimwears would be a bit difficult, I'm glad that everything still arrived, had the fear that the bags might not even arrive.
The staff who were working inside the hotel were so friendly, the food was delicious with lots of verieties in each day:
Indian food on the first day.
Arabic food on the second day.
American food on the third, and french on the forth day.
And so on ... The beach was beautiful with the comfortable chairs. Another thing I really liked was the cold drinking water which was perfect for such hot days. It was not easy to stay more than 10 minutes stadning without water. At the pool and on the beach you could endure the heat better, oh and of course the water was free!
If you are intrested travelling to Dubai, I recommend this hotel to you!
Other good things about this hotel, was booking single tickets also a whole packages were available.
On the first day we booked two tickets to Burj Khalifa, the highest building in the world which was really worth it.
The entrance of Burj Khalifa is at the bottom of the Dubai Mall which is quite good, as you can explore several attractions at once, as the aquarium in the Dubai Mall and the Dubai Mall itself with 1200 shops is one of the biggest shopping mals in the world. Unfortunately, I did not manage to visit all the shops, there were too many.
The second trip was to Abu Dhabi, there we booked a package which was included Ferrari World (outside only not inside), Sheikh Zayed Mosque and a day trip to Abu Dhabi.
What fascinated me, was the mosque. I have never seen anything so beautiful, everything was kept in white and noble style, so beautiful.
Please watch out that women only with hijab and men with T- shirt and long pants are allowed to enter to this earia! Do not worry that you have to get it, the tour guide will provide you the hijab, as far as you have booked in a package. The men have to dress in the hotel, but that will be explained again at the time of booking.
Then we went inside a park but unfortunately I can not remember this name, its the place where you can go into the small houses. There were also very small museums which I found very intresting to visit, with their own stories.
The third trip was to the desert. It was very intresting, simply far and wide with nothing there except sand. There we booked another package which was a tour through the desert and it was so funny, because we were hurled back and forth. In the evening there was dinner in the warehouse with demonstrations.
There is another thing that you need to pay attention and that is to take sunglasses with you, because the wind blows all the sand into your eyes. Unfortunately I had not taken any, so I remember how uncomfortable it was! It is not possible to watch anywere as all the sand is in your eyes.
Then we went to the camp and there were also another couple of performances. It was so pleasant in the evening as it was not so warm and since there was no wind the sand has settled down.
And the last trip we had booked was to the Atlantis hotel.
There we booked the water park and Dolphin Bay, honestly I need to mention that the waterpark did not satisfy me enough! But the Dolphin Bay was such a great and and exiting experience.
Finally, we tried to see as many sights as possible. Which unfortunatly we were not able to visit. There was a beautiful miracle garden (flower garden) which was such a pitty to be closed at that time .
Dubai Marina is a must to see, it was especially nice in the evening and there was also a great water show from Burj Khalifa.
Of course we also visited the old Dubai its a place where everything is very different not quit modern. People there were all as pushy as if they were forcing you to buy something from them. I found it a bit uncomfortable, that's why we did not stay there long.
We never took a taxi to our sole excursions, but have tried Uber, you can book it via an app. Uber are also taxis, but the thing is that the price is fixed and it is much more comfortable. The only reason I can recommend it, is that they are practical, easy fast and safe!
All in all, it was such an intresting and exciting holiday which costed alot . We spent almost 5000€ . Only the flights were cheapest ones as they cost 700€ for two (round trip)! What I would recommend is to go there in winter, because it is just too warm in the summer there. The food outside like McDonalds, kebab was cheap, but I would recommend half board or even full board, as the restaurants were not that cheap.
There it is not as strict with the clothes as always said or claimed, it was quite normal for us as a tourist.
Sorry if i have made some grammatical mistakes! I wanted to share my experiences with you. Hope i could have given you some insights about travelling to Dubal. I hope you enjoy your trip to Dubai.
