NO, today there are no pictures from Andalusia, but some from one of my other 2 chosen homes, namely from Sicily, as the title already suggests.

What have we not all heard for terrible stories about this island on which so cruel things happen and about reserved people who all belong to one of the Mafia clans.
Forget it, go there and see for yourself how it really is, don't let them always tell you stories!
Also there in Sicily in this small island in the Mediterranean between Cyprus, Greece and Malta there are absolutely lovable often quite simple people who live either from agriculture or the few industry which is locally resident.
It was as always, me and my team (by narrow-minded stubborn Germans as we are always perceived abroad, if one looks only superficially, or about the wrong kind of Germans is on the way) we were prepared for the worst, on the island with the largest active volcano in Europe the Etna and the other 3 or 4 them surrounding, with people who shoot everyone is of different opinion.
But they took us there with a warmth and friendliness that I was only allowed to experience in 2 other places.

And now honestly, do you know such thoughts?

Throw them overboard these prejudices and clichés, let yourself be surprised and enchanted by a great landscape that has everything to offer: good wine, world class fruit, vegetables and excellent cheese, and not to forget the best ice cream in the world.
And there is also ice on the more than 2000 meters high mountains, the highest of Etna is more than 3000 meters high, the temperatures are there in winter just as disgusting as in Germany, but it is in the rest of the country which lies lower moderate 10 to 28° all year round, a perfect year round destination so for exploring all the ancient sites scattered around the island, and can be reached from the three airports Catania, Palermo and Trapani and their surroundings.

It's also worth trying, especially if you're open to the local cuisine (a dream) and don't let yourself be fooled by the outward appearance of some of the restaurants, look at the parking lots and see how many local cars there are, we almost missed a meal because of such a triviality - which we would have regretted bitterly.

Nein heute gibt es keine Bilder aus Andalusien sondern welche aus einer meiner anderen 2 Wahlheimaten nämlich aus Sizilien wie der Titel ja bereits andeutet.

Ach was haben wir nicht alle schon für schreckliche Geschichten gehört über diese Insel auf der so grausame Sachen passieren und über die verschlossenen Menschen die alle zu einem der Mafia-Clans gehören.
Vergesst es fahrt hin überzeugt euch davon wie es wirklich ist, lasst euch nicht immer etwas erzählen!
Auch dort in Sizilien in diesem kleinen Eiland im Mittelmeer zwischen Zypern, Griechenland und Malta gibt es absolut liebenswerte häufig ganz einfache Menschen die entweder von der Landwirtschaft oder der wenigen Industrie die vor Ort ansässig ist leben.
Es war wie immer, ich und mein Team (von engstirnigen sturen Deutschen so wie wir immer im Ausland wahrgenommen werden, wenn man nur oberflächlich hinsieht, oder etwa die falsche Sorte von Deutschen unterwegs ist) wir waren auf das schlimmste vorbereitet, auf der Insel mit dem größten aktiven Vulkan in Europa dem Ätna und den anderen 3 oder 4 sie umgebenden, bei Leuten die jeden erschießen der anderer Meinung ist.
Aber man hat uns damals mit einer Wärme und Freundlichkeit dort aufgenommen die ich sonst nur noch an 2 anderen Orten erleben durfte.

Und jetzt mal ehrlich, kennt ihr solche Gedanken?

Werft sie über Bord diese Vorurteile und Klischees, lasst euch überraschen und bezaubern von einer tollen Landschaft die alles zu bieten hat: guten Wein, Weltklasse Obst, Gemüse und excellente Käse, und nicht zu vergessen das beste Eis der Welt.
Und es gibt auch Eis auf den mehr als 2000 Meter hohen Bergen der höchste der Ätna ist mehr als 3000 Meter hoch, die Temperaturen sind dort im Winter genauso ekelhaft wie in Deutschland, dafür ist es im Rest des Landes welches tiefer liegt gemäßigte 10 bis 28° das ganze Jahr über, ein perfektes Ganzjahresziel also für Erkundungstouren der ganzen antiken Stätten die rund um die Insel verteilt sind, und von den drei Flughäfen Catania und Palermo und Trapani und deren Umgebung angesteuert werden können.

Es lohnt sich auch das mal auszuprobieren, ganz sicher insbesondere wenn ihr offen für die einheimische Küche seid -ein Traum- und lasst euch nicht von dem äußeren mancher Lokale täuschen seht auf den Parkplätzen nach wie viele einheimische Autos dort stehen, wir hätten wegen solch einer Nebensächlichkeit fast einmal ein Essen sausen lassen -was wir bitter bereut hätten.

Na klar es wird noch einen weiteren Teil, eventuell auch zwei Teile geben, also bis bald.

No, hoy no hay fotos de Andalucía, pero de uno de mis otros dos lugares donde estoy en casa. Es decir, de Sicilia, como ya se indica en el título.

Oh, qué es lo que no hemos oído todos nosotros de historias terribles sobre esta isla en la que suceden cosas tan crueles y sobre la gente introvertida, todo pertenece a uno de los clanes de la Mafia.
Olvídalo, ve allí y comprueba por ti mismo cómo es realmente, ¡no dejes que siempre te diga algo!
También en Sicilia, en esta pequeña isla del Mediterráneo, entre Chipre, Grecia y Malta, hay personas absolutamente adorables, a menudo muy sencillas, que viven de la agricultura o de la poca industria que reside en la zona.
Como siempre, yo y mi equipo (por alemanes de cabeza cuadrado como siempre se nos percibe en el extranjero, si uno sólo mira superficialmente, o si se trata de la clase equivocada de alemanes que están en camino) estábamos preparados para lo peor, en la isla con el volcán activo más grande de Europa, el Etna, y los otros 3 o 4 que la rodean, con gente que dispara a todo el mundo, tienen opiniones diferentes.
Pero nos llevaron allí con una calidez y amabilidad que sólo se me permitió conocer en otros dos lugares.

Y ahora, honestamente, ¿conoces esos pensamientos?

Echadlos al mar con estos prejuicios y clichés, dejaos sorprender y encantar por un gran paisaje que lo tiene todo para ofrecer: buen vino, fruta de clase mundial, verduras y excelentes quesos, y no olvidéis el mejor helado del mundo.
Y también hay hielo en las montañas de más de 2000 metros de altura, la más alta del Etna es de más de 3000 metros de altura, las temperaturas son tan desagradables en invierno como en Alemania, pero es en el resto del país que se encuentra a una temperatura moderada inferior a 10 a 28° durante todo el año, un destino perfecto durante todo el año para explorar todos los sitios antiguos dispersos alrededor de la isla, y se puede llegar desde los tres aeropuertos de Catania, Palermo y Trapani y sus alrededores.

También vale la pena intentarlo, sobre todo si estás abierto a la cocina local -es un sueño- y no te dejes engañar por el aspecto exterior de algunos de los restaurantes, mira los aparcamientos y mira cuántos coches locales hay, casi nos perdemos una comida debido a esa trivialidad, de la que nos habríamos arrepentido amargamente.
