Hoi An ( near Da Nang)

Although the weather was quite rainy compared to the sunny north - we didn't care and still had fun:

There were a lot of Japanese tourists too, because of their cultural heritage...

So we rented a bicycle and rode all day through the "suburbs" - actually the farmer lands and the small villages.

It was really nice to see a little countryside, although there was one thing though:
play
(opens video player on my instagram)

That awkward moment when cycling on a small road #inthemiddleofnowhere when you see three big water buffalos and mock them by producing a bleating sound, then realizing six big horns are pointing in your direction whilst seeing the only passageway being blocked by one of the calves, subsequently the ten slowest seconds of your life are passing by until you get away from them, and made it back in one piece.
#TIL in Vietnam: never mock water buffalos.

We also visited Marble Mountain (rented a scooter, it's a half hour drive) around sunset, which was very nice!

The Hoi An old city centre is also a very chilly place to stop by, eat some good food and buy some souvenirs! But it was a little bit too romantic for the likings of us, two #bros - but if you're with your girlfriend, I think you'll have some good #qualitytime :)

So after three days Hoi An, we took the night train - this was an unbelievably uncomfortable ride, which I therefore really liked (Lars not so much). We slept on a wooden bed in a cabin along with four (!) other people. It was so tight we couldn't even sit up straight.

I wasn't entirely sure who our triple-bunk-bed-pals were, because when we woke up they were different... 😂
Anyways, watching Vietnam passing by while staring out of the train window is really nice and another MUST-DO if you ever go there!

Next stop: Nha Trang!

( @Lars, sorry my super-light-skinned friend - I tried pulling all the levels in Photoshop, but your knees were still over-exposed 😂 )
