What A Week

I posted a generic picture of the Grand Canyon due to the fact that I should have been taking this picture this week. Our plans were to fly into Phoenix and drive to Sedona, where our room was reserved. The flight was to take place on Sunday. However, after following the Corona Virus reports, we decided to cancel the trip on Saturday. The deciding factor was hearing the President mention that domestic flights may be next in the scheme of limitations. I was planning on visiting Arizona, not getting stranded there.

I haven't posted anything in a while due to my preparation for the trip and then frantically trying to cancel everything. I have to say that this was a good decision seeing how the reports on the pandemic have escalated. Due to the current state of the world, we were able to cancel without much damage to our wallets.

While all reports are telling the public not to panic, panic is exactly what they are doing. The shelves in all local retailers have been without Lysol disinfectant wipes and hand sanitizers. This isn't good news for someone who wasn't even planning on being here this week. I do not understand the disappearance of toilet paper from the shelves! Are you going to shit more than usual during this period?

The first word was to stock up on essentials with a two week supply. Now, reports are cutting that number down because obviously people aren't good at math when it comes to figuring out how much a two week supply really is. We might as well be facing a Zombie Apocalypse! Whatever happened to leaving enough product for your fellow man? Pretty soon, we may see people hunting for supplies with crossbows!

Either way, it is what it is and we should all take the necessary precautions to ensure the containment of this thing. I hope everyone stays safe and leaves some toilet paper for the next guy.
