RE: Airbnb Cracks Down On London And Amsterdam Rentals

taking something that doesn't belong to you and advocating for theft via the state actually IS injustice..... sorry you fail to recognize it. A fair market isn't one where people are coerced but rather it's quite the opposite, it's an environment where people are FREE to make voluntary exchanges without the initiation of violence from some mob against them.

Again, I object.
Any market mechanism needs a common ground. No matter how weird or unfair these conditions are deemed, they should apply to all the partipants. Else there is no competition and you and up with either cartells or socialism. Or even a mixture, which is probably worst.
As to contributions. thats a nice idea. But looking at the reality of fundraising and big donations, its largely about buying influence. Not directly, as in corruption. Its far more indirect. Getting to talk to the right people in the right conditions. Many unwritten and unspoken rules involved. About having the right friends. About your family having the right friends. About status in a certain group and club. And - very casually - placing information. Inception.
Seen a bit of it and it still makes me want to throw up.
Theft is harmless in comparison.
