Calaguas Island at Camarines Norte

How to go to Calaguas Island?

You need to ride a bus from Maynila to Paracale for about Php 35-40 for an hour ride, then go to the fish port and ask a trip to Calaguas Island or also known as Brgy. Mangcawayan.

Taking the passengers boat to Calaguas will cost you for about a Php 100 pesos and you've got your trip for almost 2-3 hours.

And after enduring the ride you can take off at Brgy. Mangcawayan and take a walk to Calaguas beach or Mahabang buhangin beach.

Your 15 minutes of walk will be easily replaced harmony once you step on the sand beach and conquering the beauty of the place. As what they say everything is worth it.

Some take the trip like the local did for much more fun thrilled and cheap fair.

There's a couple of tips that you should know.

You have to bring food, drinking water though they had a water pump much better you have your own and also rice since it's more expensive if you buy in island. Though, the store is a little bit small but you can buy fresh fish in there. You can lent some cooking utensils in also so don't bother to bring one just look for the care taker.

There's no electricity in the island so you better bring flashlight or any kind that can give you lights during at night.

No worries for smart, globe users there's a 3 signal sites in the island so you can still update your loved one, but sorry sun network you don't have signal in there.

You can also bring tent if you like to stay out side from the small cottages. Don't worry ladies there is a rest room in the area.

Going there for weekdays is much good if you want the beach to be yours and it's not that crowded. Since Calagaus island is now known to be one that has a beautiful beach in the country.
