Duty travel - 24 hrs of Entebbe
•"Summer Rain" in Seke Resort, Munyonyo, during breakfast•
Hey there! :-)
Honestly, I have been so tired that everytime I tried to write about my travel to Uganda, I just fell asleep! "Hashtag crewlife"!
So, as I have said on my first post (about me), I am a flight attendant. I fly from Dubai to all the exotic (and less exotic) places!
One of my favorites is Entebbe, Uganda. I love the whole experience - the flight itself, the profile of the passengers and the layover.
•Sunny morning, embarking our B777-300, 17.05.2018•
The flight itself is easy (5 hours only, from Dubai) and also with occasional turbulences that I started to enjoy, haha! African flights are usually with turbulences, some really shaky-shaky! This is because some cyclones going on around :-).
The timing of my duty was really good! I felt like a normal person working in a normal job (from morning to afternoon), more tiring though because of the high altitude and the tasks...
We usually have local pax (passengers). They are very kind, humble and funny.
My layover is only for 24 hours, so I could not experience much in Uganda, except the beautiful resort!
•After rain, in the lounge•
During breakfast usually there are monkeys coming to have some food with you...and from you!
•chilling out•
•the walk to the room•
In the resort they also have a lovely Stable where you could book horse-riding lessons, or if you are advanced you can just take the horse outside the resort and go!
• Here is me with Toot the pony and the others behind <3 •
The horses here are just so sweet and chill! The equestrian facility is pretty nice!
So the workout of the day for me was horse-riding! Very good workout indeed!
•This time I have been practicing the Trot (the pace of a horse faster than a walk). I have also done by mistake a little bit of Canter (between a trot and a gallop, so the horse was even faster), haha, I was about to jump off the saddle!•
They gave me the tallest horse, Triana 💓. She is quiet new in the paddock, only 4 months since she's here! But she is so good! I have had a very smooth lesson with her!
•me and Triana•
I just fell in love with horse-riding! Can't wait to go again.
Uganda and its fresh air, fresh fruits, animals and vegetation just refills my energy! It is amazing to be in contact with nature. A duty travel to Uganda for me is just like a mini holiday-trip to countryside, that I loved when I was a child.
I recommend you to look for Entebbe when you plan a different holiday. There are some really nice Gorilla Trekking tours! Where you go hiking and meet the gorillas in their natural habitat! You can check: www.bwindiforestnationalpark.com for example.
I am very looking forward to this kind of experience, however my schedule is too busy nowadays!
Well, I have just arrived to Dubai - after mid-night, and now I am taking a rest because tonight at mid-night I will fly to Hong Kong! #jetlag big time!
I like this Community, I like it because I find pleasure in writing and (mainly) posting pictures and videos about my experiences and I do not feel so exposed! I just post mainly for myself and if there are people who enjoy what I am sharing it is a big bonus 💓!
Wish you a pleasant time! And whenever possible reconnect to the nature! Take a walk in the park, go do some sports, it does magic! 💓
