I want to show you the place where cats live like in paradise.

Intro to the Cat's Paradise

These days I’m visiting an amazing place. In English the name of the village means New World. It is a small touristic place in Crimea for those who like mountains, relict forests and crystal clear sea waters.

Somebody think that it still situated in Ukraine but locals know that they are living in Russia. About 100 years ago here settled the world famous champagne wine producer duke Golitzyn and even Russian tsar Nikolay II recreated here couple of days. And now people swim on the Tsar beach and drink still good wines and listen stories about legendary personalities.

But there is another side of life here. It is the life of the cats. They are not domestic (meaning that they have no masters) but looks healthy, happy and relaxed.

I really do not know how many of them here. 100, 200 or more? I did not count but definitely there are more than in any place I have seen.
There are small kittens, old cats, beautiful cats, alfa cats, with different colors of fir and eyes.

They are freely walking on the streets, asking for food restaurant’s visitors, and laying on the big stones from the nearest mountains.

Surprisingly, the point of attraction for them is local trash. Six deep blue containers where all locals and tourists throw away unnecessary stuff. Here at one time you can see up to 25 cats.

Sometimes you do not need to hunt

Yes, they eat there, what humans have not eaten before. But some compassionate cats lovers bring them here fresh fish or meat or something tasty. In these moments, they running with raised to the sky bushy tails, and surrounding the one with food.

After the meal they lay down covered by the shadows of the closest cars.

I hope and even believe that mild climate, absence of enemies and good people make their life as good as in paradise.

Not only cats feel here outstanding, but also relict trees, insects, stones and even people.
