Ocean Beach Dog Beach

After a full two and a half weeks in San Diego, it's time for us to continue our road trip journey. If you ever get a chance to spend time in Ocean Beach (a beach town in San Diego) I'd recommend taking it! It's got a great community feel instead of the typical gentrification that's happening all over California, although property values are certainly rising fast. There's a balanced mix of beach bums, travelers, families, and young people. It's got a laid back vibe and you're never more than a few blocks from the beach.

We got some awesome drone footage of the area, which I'm exited to share once I get it uploaded (later this week).

We were dog sitting two 1 year old dogs, a Great Pyrenees and an Anatolian Shepard. These pups were raised on 16 acres for the first year of their of life so they need constant exercise. Lucky for us, Ocean Beach has an amazing dog park beach. It's HUGE, so plenty of room for the pups to run, and they can run right into the Pacific Ocean and play in the waves.

It's also one of the better surfing spots in Ocean Beach, so we passed the time watching the local surfers catch waves. Taking the dogs there for sunset was one of the highlights of my stay in Ocean Beach.
