My one week adventure in Egypt. #DAYFIVE

in #travel7 years ago

Hello, Steemians!

EGYPT, SHARM EL-SHEIKH.

Day five.

The day begins very unusually. This time my family got up from beds earlier than me, because as I said in previous article - I almost did not sleep all night. Those stars... Maybe you wondered, why I have such a big passion for the stars ? ( You will find out in the following article ) So, I woke up. I don't understand where is my family. I don't understand why they woke up earlier than me, but when I looked at the clock. I understood why. It's a 1 p.m.

After lunch we decided to go to the travel agency's proposed tour. At 3 p.m. we've received the offer to go to the Sinai Peninsula or simply Sinai. Sinai is the only part of the country located in Asia. The Sinai Peninsula has been a part of Egypt from the First Dynasty of ancient Egypt (c. 3100 BC). Mount Sinai is one of the most religiously significant places in the Abrahamic faiths. So, we immediately accepted the offer.IMG_20171029_080821-01.jpeg

Astonishing view !

The first destination was to go to the Ras Mohammad National Park. This national park has one of the best snorkeling areas in the world ! Ras Mohammad National Park experiences a very dry climate, with only minimal rainfall during the winter. During the summer, temperatures often exceed 40°C (104°F) and low temperatures around 27°C (81°F).IMG_20171029_115846-01.jpeg
More than 220 species of coral are found in the Ras Mohammad area, 125 of them soft coral. The coral reefs are located 50 to 100 cm below the sea surface. The area is home to more than 1000 species of fish. So, snorkeling in this area It seems like to visit the zoo park.
Different colors represent a very special contrast that can be seen a few times in life. Unbelievable.

Next destination was to the Sinai desert. Heat of the sun is insurmountable. Only wind and water saved us from overheating. This was my first time in desert. My whole body was shocked by the heat. IMG_20171029_101605-02.jpeg

Never ending desert and get lost in it would be very bad.

IMG_20171029_102424-01.jpeg This is what I found in the middle of the desert. Believe me, It's extremely deep. Our guide said that last year two dead young people were pulled out of this abyss. If you accidentally fell in here, there is no chance of getting out. The only way out would be to call for help, but I do not think someone will hear you here.
Slightly scary, right ?

Because we could no longer survive the overwhelming heat, so the travel guide decides to move towards to the "Allah gate". The gate was designed by one of the Egyptian engineers after the 1973 October war. He created the gate out of cement rocks in a remarkable way that looked at the end like the name of Allah in Arabic language. I have a craving for geology and history, so I was fascinated by this piece and his incredible story.IMG_20171029_095113-01.jpeg
That day I was very tired. The sun and a large amount of walking took my all strength. So, of course I went to sleep very early. This day was the best day of my life. Litteraly. Whole life I wanted to get to the desert and feel that intense heat. It was incredible. Wild, untouched nature absolutely fascinated me.

The other days will be described approx in next two days !

Thanks for reading my articles.

It seems like you put a lot of effort in writing this post. Good job :)

Thank you ! :)

Again, Good job my bro !!

Thank you !

Wow, what is that crevasse called? I want to research it and see where its located, because my next trip to egypt will probably be to sharm and then down the east coast of egypt back to Aswan, and then the desert trip again. Great post, keep them coming!

I don't know what that crevasse is called, because we found it quite unexpectedly. It's somewhere near Allah's gate. Maybe you will find it too ! Trip to Sharm El-Sheikh - It's definitely worth going there. Thank you !

After some googling I found that its called Earthquake Crack - Ras Mohammed. Once things settle down in Egypt I am going back for my 3rd time :) Sharm was a little sketchy recently I heard with the terrorists so close, did you feel safe being away from the tourism police?
