Welcome to my Travel Tip edition where I promote some of the most beautiful places, interesting landmarks and impressive architectural sites of my homeland, the Czech Republic.

Today, I would like to show you what is often considered the most beautiful Czech castle, the Hluboka Castle.
Located in the small town of Hluboka nad Vltavou in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic, the Hluboka Castle is a huge, historic castle and one of the dominant landmarks of the region.

The very origins of the castle date back to as early as the 13th century when there was a guardian Gothic castle built on the site. In the years and centuries to come, the original castle was rebuilt on numerous occasions and it was not until the 19th century when it got its current, monumental appearance inspired by the famous Windsor Castle in England.

Surrounded by extensive parks and gardens, the park is now open to public, offering several different tours. You can visit some of the castle´s 140 rooms and 11 towers, admire stylish old furniture or check out the large collections of paintings and artworks. The entrance fee differ according to the type of tour you choose but it is not overly expensive, usually some 7-8 EUR/USD. Tours in foreign languages are also available for an additional fee.

Thanks to its extraordinary size and majestic beauty, the Hluboka Castle has been also featured in some movies and it is a very popular place for weddings too.
