@axeman African Wednesday entry:

African sunrise. Early morning at Hurghada, Egypt. Very calm and wonderfully colorful one. Shot at the beach just on the territory of the hotel. This time sun already risen, but hided behind narrow line of clouds on the horizon, allowing to get few more pretty unusual frames with a sunbeams spreading both to the top and to the bottom. Some silhouettes of the boats far away... Shot with long tele-photo lens compressing the perspective. Enjoy the scenery :)

In Bolivia, the Tiwanaku civilization, is a pre-Inca civilization that dominated the southern half of the central Andes between the fifth century and the eleventh century. Here are some of the statues encrusted on one of the walls of the semi-underground temple in front of the ceremonial temple of Kalasasaya.
Kalasasaya is derived from the aymara Kala voice (Stone) and Saya (stopped), It would mean "standing stones". The temple was built in the early twentieth century and possibly contemporary Templete Semisubterráneo.

Here's a photo I took at the Atacama desert region in North Chile. I was hiking towards a peak and was impressed by this amazing view. The neatly cut sand ridge formed a beautiful curve stretching towards the cliff in distance. The golden sun rays cast a dreamy shade on the whole scene. Truly magical! :)

You do not seem to participate much those days but when you do it sure is worth it!

Cable Cars in La Paz, Bolivia

Bolivia might be a developing country, but one part of its public transport system is amazing: La Paz, the countries biggest city, has various cable car lines that conquer the enormous height differences in no time. A ride costs less than USD 0.40!

I have also posted this photo on my blog.

What an interesting type of public transportation! Thank you so much for sharing that with all of us.

Buenos Aires, Humocaro Alto in Lara - Venezuela.

Located in Humocaro Alto, Buenos Aires is one of the most impressive natural paradises in Venezuela. Its rivers and waterfalls fall from the top of its mountains through most of the villages located in this area of the state of Lara. Undoubtedly a magical place with an impressive climate whose vegetation and open spaces to the campsite will make you spend a completely magical stay. Are you ready?

Bunch of Iguana chilling in 'La Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino'. This place in Santa Marta, Colombia, is famous for being the place of death of Simon Bolivar.

Sunset in Ciudad Bolívar - Venezuela

Wonderful sunset in Ciudad Bolívar that I caught visiting a friend. Leaving his house, I stopped to observe the colors of this beautiful sunset, where the purple color stands out, it is my favorite at sunsets.
