@jpphotography Australian Monday entry:

Uluru at Sunset. When I travelled in Australia, I had never planned on visiting the red centre, but since I found a ride share headed there, I joined in. I had no expectations, but seeing this huge rock was just incredible! The colours at sunset are simply stunning.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - African Wednesday week #52 - winner announcement!

@aegir African Wednesday entry:

During one of my tours in Namibia, I stopped at a waterhole in Etosha National Park. There was not a single animal to see at that waterhole. However, when I wanted to drive off, a large group of elephants approached and decided to take a bath in the waterhole. Weeks later, when I was scrolling through my photos, I realized that there were two elephants in this photo.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - European Thursday week #52 - winner announcement!

@rimicane European Thursday entry:

I have visited Rome only once. It was enough to fall in love with this ancient city! If not the sd card size back in the days, the number of images would exceed all expectations. Let me name some of the architectural landmarks here. On the right, we have got the Tempio di Saturno. In the background, there is a beautiful church dating back to 17th century - Santi Luca e Martina. And then framed between the arches is the Septimius Severus Arch. The view was captured from the perfect spot on top of the Monte Tarpeo street.

Found in the Pinar del Rio Province in the eastern part of the country, the Vinales National Park is one of the most beautiful and visited national parks in Cuba. Located some 200 km (125 mi) outside the hustle and bustle of the capital city of Havana, the Vinales National Park boasts an incredibly picturesque and diverse landscape ranging from vast green tobacco plantations to majestic limestone cliffs sticking out of red soil, mysterious caves and unique mountain formations known as "mogotes".

Looks like a real gem. Thank you so much for sharing.

New York, New York, the city that never sleep…
Here, at sunset in Central Park, it looks like a calm and peaceful evening. A few steps later, I was on time square, not the same atmosphere :)

It's fascinating how two places differs at the same time.

High Desert Sunset

The beautiful blue expanse is filled with colored clouds floating along with casual grace. Above a juniper covered landscape dotted with Pinion Pines and fortified with red sandstone butte's and mountains.
This image was captured recently in Sedona Arizona USA. A place that inspires spiritual mystery, awe and fascination.

Love that sky! Well done.

my picture for the challenge is from chicago. It is a panorama and shows the Trump Tower in the middle of the picture. It is a nice clean city. a visit is recommended there are beautiful architecture and also a beach.

I show this photo at Big Talbot Island State Park in Jacksonville in the northern Florida. It was very calm and serene but the beach was full of sand flies that made me crazy, but the image turned out great.

What a great image! Welcome to the contest. I hope to see more from you.

A view of Niagara Falls from the Canadian side. This is a spot where many tourists take a photo of the falls. I tried to get an interesting image of minimalist nature.
There the sound of the water is really overwhelming and is not easy to take the photo due to the big amount of water is suspension and the camera and lenses easily get wet.

So much power in one image!

Nevada Fall, Yosemite National Park

Nevada Falls (2).jpg

It's about a 7 mile loop to Nevada Fall from the floor of Yosemite Valley. You'll first hit Vernal Fall by hiking up the Mist Trail, one of Yosemite's most iconic walks. The next fall up is Nevada Fall, where you'll get this view and be able to take a much deserved break! This shot was taken from the John Muir Trail, where you can loop back down to the valley floor.

Thank you so much for your participation and this great entry.

I shot this during a road trip across California with my partner. She is sitting on the Mesquite Flat sand dunes in Death Valley National Park. Behind her are the magnificent Amargosa Range mountains.
We spent many evenings out in nature watching the sun set over the incredible landscape found in this part of America... staying in cheap motels as we went.
A few days after this image was taken, we were driving through Death Valley and it started to snow... a rare occurrence in that part of the world so we were told.

What a views! That is quite something.

Wow, A year of contests already!! Congrats and thank you 💗

This picture is of Mount Kerkeslin, the behemoth that stands proud behind Athabasca falls. One this day, we were just doing a quick stop, we had gone to Kananaskis and decided to take large a detour via Jasper pretty much just to get to stop here and a couple more spots. It had been raining since we hit the Columbia Icefields and the rain was finally starting to clear bit the mountain was still engulfed in clouds but some sunshine could be seen lighting up the trees at the bottom of the valley.

Time goes fast. What a year it has been. Great click as always!

Thank you Tom ! 😍

Do You live near the Rockies @snowyknight? You seem to know where everything is!

I upvote the Icefields highway!

Basin Mt California

basin mt.png
Basin mountain sits proudly in the Sierra Nevada of California. Here covered in snow is a beautiful site, especially on a day with snow on the way (see the clouds). Enjoy the view and best viewed in sepia.

This is also posted on my blog.

Fabulous shot, thank you so much.

Thanks! Glad you like it!
