This man is carrying a basket full of bricks in his head. The bricks arrived by boats and are carried to the construction site by a few men walking with these basket on their head. It takes a lot of skills to do the same. Location: Dhaka, Bangladesh.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Australian Monday week #31 – winner announcement!
@mibreit-photo Australian Monday entry:
Wharariki Beach near Farewell Spit in the upper north of New Zealand's South Island is a spectacular location. You have dunes, sea stacks, caves and a beautiful countryside. It's a bit of a drive up there but totally worth it. A caravan park is just 1km walking distance from the beach.

@marc-allaria Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans entry:
I will soon share an article on this extraordinary meeting made in Maratua Island, still in Borneo. Certainly one of the most important memories in my adventure of diver as much for the meeting with this wall of barracudas as for the very particular diving strategy in a very hectic pass exit. In the meantime I propose this photograph for the photo contest @czechglobalhosts Tuesday - Antarctica + the world's oceans.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – African Wednesday week #31 – winner announcement!
@fjorenca African Wednesday entry:
I have posted before about the White Desert of Egypt. Not too far from that, near the Bahariya Oasis, you can find the contrasting Black Desert of Egypt with its glorious black topped golden mountains popping out of nowhere. The area owes this appearance to ancient volcanoes and the presence of abundant iron ore. I climbed to the top of one of these charcoal peaks to get this incredible view. Doesn't it look like it belongs to another planet?

There is some spectacular classic European architecture in Antwerp, Belgium. And while I was on a promenade admiring some buildings, I wisely turned around and saw another view I loved. Antwerp is located on the River Scheldt and the Port of Antwerp is the second largest in Europe. What you can't see in the photo is the incredibly chilly wind I felt standing here, but it was totally worth it!
Colorful sunset over the Grebastica Bay in Croatia. Grebastica is a little coastal village located some 15 km outside Sibenik, beautiful historic town located in Central Dalmatia. Sibenik is the oldest native Croatian town on the shores of the Adriatic Sea.
Wonderful sunset and beautiful image. Looks great!
Another picture from the beautiful town of Hallstatt. It is such a beautiful town, especially after a storm, where low laying clouds covers the mountain side. This lookout is right on the edge of the town, on the other side of wharf. This view is what usually feature in a Hallstatt Postcard and it's not hard to see why.
All your photos of Hallstatt are pretty amazing!
Thanks!
I am very happy to see another entry from there. Amazing place, amazing image! Thank you so much for sharing. Tomas
Thanks Tomas! I hope to share more photos from Hallstatt with you in the future
This is the Almendres megalithic settlement, also known as The Almendres Cromlech. It's located on the outskirts of the city of Évora, in the Alentejo region (southern Portugal). It is the biggest megalithic monument in the Iberian Peninsula and one of the oldest in the world... 2000 years older than the better-known Stonehenge! It's a mystical place that has survived thousands of years throughout our history as human beings!
What an interesting place and a beautiful image! Great job. Tomas
Thanks mate :)
When thinking of Europe, I think of old medieval castles and cathedrals. One of the most magical places in Europe is Mont Saint Michel. A large cathedral that sits on a flood plain in Northern France.
Truly magnificent place and a wonderful image. Thank you kindly.
thank you
Together with Segovia and Avila, Toledo is one of three amazing, historical cities that you can reach very fast and easily from Madrid by train, within a day trip. The old town, that was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986 for its extensive monumental and cultural heritage, is located on top of a hill, surrounded on three sides by a bend in the Tagus River.
Truly spectacular!
Thanks a lot! 🙂
Often during the road trips, I don't have the perfect conditions for shooting. But I don't mind to take the photos in daylight on an interesting spot, because I don't know where I will be during the sunrise or sunset. Sometimes I don't have much time or possibility to search for the best position and just shoot from the road. And sometimes I just got lucky, like in this case on the road along Lovrafjorden in Norway.

Well, looks like you had a perfect conditions here since the image is just that:).... This is a wonderful place to cruise through!
Thanks Tomas!
Early morning colours over the Ardèche landscape. Sitting on my balcony I watch the sun rising in the sky, being the witness of this magnificent time of the day during which the sky burns of thousand colours.
Location: Ardèche river, France.
What a view and place to wake up to:)... Enjoy while you can.
The Bessegen ridge trail is one of Norway's most beautiful hikes. The hike is part of a larger trek in Jotunheimen National Park, but since I was lacking a warm sleeping bag, this would not have been an option, so my friend whom I was travelling with and I decided to do only the most popular part, the Besseggen ridge trail itself which can be done in one day. The trek is one-way and connected by ferry to Gjendesheim, a small stop for tourists entering the national park where we hitchhiked to. However, since we had slept in and missed the early-morning ferry to the start of the trek, we decided to start walking in Gjendesheim and catch the ferry back. We just made it back in time for the last ferry!
Stunning! Thank you so much for your contribution.
The "Kaiserstuhl" is the place with the most sunshine hours in Germany and therefore the perfect place to grow wine. It is located in the south near the border to France and the Suisse. It is a very beautiful area with small towns and soft green hills. It is a popular place to hike in the vineyards and to taste the local gastronomic specialities with a glass of wine.
Beautiful greenery and fabulous image. Thank you so much for your contribution. Tomas
