7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Asian Sunday week #30 - the absolute winner takes 200 SBD!
@jpphotography Asian Sunday entry:
The Malaysian island Langkawi is an amazing place to explore by scooter! After one day of driving around the island, I found myself looking at this beautiful sunset, so I stopped on the roadside to capture the silhouette of this mosque in the last light of the day.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Australian Monday week #30 – winner announcement!
@intrepidphotos Australian Monday entry:
The Natural Bridge is a naturally formed rock arch over Cave Creek, a tributary of the Nerang River. It was formed from a waterfall which undercut a cave beneath the waterfall and dug a pothole on top, until the two joined and the creek flowed through the cave, leaving an arch across the front. The bridge is located in Springbrook National Park in the Gold Coast hinterland of Queensland, Australia.

Winter cold sunset at Baltic Sea coast, Lithuania. Quite long exposure make the moving ice pieces to look like ghosts. Still warm colors of dawning sun making the view much more interesting due color contrast. Enjoy it!

@mibreit-photo African Wednesday entry:
Something from the beautiful Seychelles again. I had the pleasure to visit La Digue for the second time a few weeks ago. Anse Source D'Argent was one of the beaches I came to for sunset every second day until I got a photo I was satisfied with. No blazing sunset, but a beautiful, calm blue hour.

Pont Van Gogh is a replica of the Langlois Bridge in Arles, France. The original bridge was made famous by Vincent van Gogh in several paintings he made while living in Arles in 1888. The Langlois Bridge was replaced in 1930, but that replacement was destroyed during WWII. This replica of the original bridge was created in recognition of Van Gogh's famous works. And personally, it was an incredibly lovely experience to witness a sunrise in this special location.
The Florence Cathedral, Cathedral Santa Maria del Fiore, is the third largest catholic church in the world, and is a major landmark of Florence. It is also here that the Renaissance allegedly started in the 1400s, where the chief architect Brunelleschi successfully engineered and completed the large dome, sparking a chain of innovation and arts that prospered for the next two centuries. Today, we can climb the bell tower beside the cathedral and admire the beautifully designed dome, as well as a good view of the city of Florence.
Beautiful capture from the tower! The dark clouds make your picture so moody. Florence is a marvel. I want to go there again. And I just posted a photo from Italy too! :)
Thanks Donica! Yeah, I love your photo, the golden colour is just so beautiful!
What a great place, what a stunning image!
Thank Tomas!
I took this picture in a plane shortly after it took off from the airport of Turin, Italy. I had to get up very early to catch the flight, but it was worth it when I got to see this fantastic view: the snow-capped Alps and all those red-roofed houses were bathing in the golden rays of sunrise. Torino is the first capital city of Italy, best known for its stately baroque buildings, grand squares and... the aperitivo!
Hmm, that sure does look beautiful!
Such amazing golden colour!
Winter morning view to the port (Klaipeda, Lithuania) and container terminal from the window of my office (8th floor). Amazing colors of a humid cold air.
Long tele-photo lens used to compress the perspective a lot
Enjoy it!

Even a busy working port looks amazing in your image:)
This is the medieval village of Castelo de Vide, photographed from the top of the main tower of its ancient castle! This small yet beautiful place is located in the heart of Serra de São Mamede Natural Park, deep inside the Alentejo region, southern Portugal.
Hmmm, I love that... It does look like back home:)
I took this photo in the wonderful Real Alcázar (royal palace) in Sevilla. This place features wonderful architecture and equally beautiful gardens! No wonder it was chosen as the filming location for the water gardens of Dorne in Game of Thrones.
Great shot! Looks like an amazing place to visit! Maybe one day:)
I woke up yesterday and I saw the reflection of the mountains in the water and I just had to run to the water to take this picture. I passed this spot in The Lyngen Alps in Norway a lot of times and never was the water so still and the reflection so beautiful.
That must me really something to wake up to this! Great click!
There are places like no other in the world.
The "vallée de l'ibie" is one of them, a place where you can walk along the river or within the water to find wonderful spots to rest and enjoy the simple things of life.
Location: Ardèche River, France.
What a wonderful place and a stunning image. Thank you so much for your submission. Tomas
Thank you Tomas, as always submitting my photos are always a pleasure :)
The bay of Kotor in Montenegro, named after this small, medieval town, is often called Europe's southernmost fjord, but in fact it's a submerged river canyon. There is a steep hiking trail behind the city of Kotor that leads to amazing viewpoints like this one:
Oh, I love Kotor! Especially coming there on the cruise ship is just an amazing experience. I would go back there in the heart beat.
Must be awesome by cruise ship! I went there by car, was also pretty cool to drive along the coastline of this unique bay! 🙂
Plovdiv is considered the oldest inhabited city in Europe. Beneath the 7 hills, one can find Roman ruins, Ottoman mosque, Russian monuments. It is the most beautiful city in Bulgaria and the best thing to do in summer is to grab a beer, sit on the ruins with the locals and enjoy the sunset.
Thank you so much for submitting this amazing image to my contest!
