Hello fellow Steemians!
Welcome to my 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Australian Monday - where the winner of the weekly round will be able to participate for the total of 200 SBD! Today, you can participate by submitting your personal pictures from your travels to the continent of Australia. I am also adding New Zealand to the same challenge as there were some concerns from other Steemians as to which continent NZ belongs to.

Your entries need to be submitted by 8 AM Central European Time in order to be considered for the challenge with a description of approximately 30 to 50 words. Only use of personal images will be accepted and only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. Ten winning photos will receive a bigger upvote from me and ten runners-up will get a smaller one.
Chosen from the ten winning entries, the absolute winner of the day will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts. The winning picture of the daily challenge will then automatically enter other rounds with the absolute winner gaining approximately 200 SBD in total.
Please see the winner of Asian Sunday and give him your support if you like his image to be the one winning the weekly price and entering the other stages of the 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge. You can vote for him by upvoting his winner announcement post below:

@justdentist Asian Sunday entry:
Cormorant Fisherman in China. Here is one of my favorite photos from our trip to China last year. I also featured it in my "Faces of China" post. If you take part in Tomas, aka @czechglobalhosts, contest for a longer period of time, you'll might have seen some photos of the fisherman. After being a fisherman for several decades he now mainly works in the tourist industry as a model. I guess it's kind of a win-win-situation for him and tourists like us. He's wearing his traditional outfit. Once in a lifetime experience! Have a great week everybody.

Franz Josef Glacier
Or in native Māori language: Kā Roimata o Hine Hukatere. The glacier is about 12 km long and is really special because of location close to the coastline. As most glaciers they have patterns of advance and retreat. The Franz Josef Glacier advanced till 2008 but since then there is a massiv retreat. We were lucky in 2010 to walk up to the glacier and onto in. Nowadays you have to take a helicopter, fly up and on top of the glacier to have a chance to walk on it. Nevertheless it was a fantastic day at the glacier.
Amazing entry as always! Thank you so much! Tomas

what a beautiful view
Thanks
Thank you so much for your wonderful image!
Thanks !
We tried to catch them last time we were in Tasmania but failed to see any! Next time!
Yes has to be a reasonable KP to see them as Tassie is only 42 south.
Amazing! You're lucky to have already been there :) Good job!
Thanks!
Australian wildlife and marine life is particularly amazing! On the East coast of Australia, Turtles come and lay eggs on the beach from Nov to January and from January to March little hatchling make their way to the water. The beach of MonRepos close to Bundaberg is protected for this reason. To protect the green turtle species, rangers take you in safe way to the beach to observe them and give educational talks. This photo was taken 2 years ago in our Easter trip to Bargara where we got to spot this one on the beach.
What a little cutie:)....
Yes so tiny!!
The magnificent view from Roys Peak near Wanaka towards the southern Alps. It's quite a hike to get up there, but totally worth it. When I was there for sunset I was the only one sticking around in the freezing winds. But I was rewarded with beautiful light.
That's insane! Thanks for sharing this great shot with us!
Yep, another amazing image of yours!
I encountered these cute guys on a road trip from Canberra to Victoria. A mob of around 10 kangaroos were hopping around on an open arid field between scattered trees and bushes. To me, this scene is as Australian as it can be. =)
Almost as cute as Vicunas ;)
Thanks Marco! =) Come play the photo game for this: https://steemit.com/photogames/@itchyfeetdonica/70-musical-monday-photo-games-week-9-game-1
That looks like real Australia:).....
It does right? ;)
This photo is from Rottnest Island in Western Australia. The island is commonly called "Rotto" in Australia, we tend to abbreviate everything over here. It's a beautiful island that is protected and famous for it's healthy population of quokkas
We haven't done the West coast yet but Rottness is definitely in the bucket list!
The west coast is beautiful!!
we have no doubt about it ;-)
What an amazing image! Thank you so much for your wonderful contribution. Tomas
Thanks!
Skyline of Brisbane
At first sight I did not like the City ofBrisbane. But when we visited it the last time my mind changed. The city has a lot to offer and views like this one are really one of it. Skyline of the City with the Story Brdige in front of it.
Thank you so much for your contribution and support. Tomas
thanks for that awesome contest. still one of the best on steemit.
Nitmiluk National Park is one of a hell of a national park. There, you can swim in huge natural pool in which amazing waterfall are flowing. During the rain season, that's a different story and you better avoid swimming because of the potential presence of crocodiles!
Location: Katherine, Australia.
What a fabulous image! Thank you so much for your participation. Tomas
Thank you Tomas, glad to share this amazing place with you and all the steemit a ;)
Fraser Island
It's not just a sandy island covered with trees. It has the most gorgeous beaches and lakes such as lake McKenzie. I've been told that should be overloaded with tourists. But luckily we were of season and the weatherforecast was terrible for that day. As you probably can see in the photo, they were wrong :D
Wonderful entry! Thank you so much for your contribution to the challenge! Tomas
And thank you for your upvote. I appreciate it a lot!
