Hello fellow Steemians,
I hope you are all having a great day! :) As usually, I am here with my daily photo challenge where you can submit your personal images from your travels to Prague and other locations in the Czech Republic in the comment section below.
The best 15 entries of the day will get my upvote. I will then pick the absolute winner of the day from these 15 photos. The winning photo will be awarded with a bigger upvote and it will also be featured as the cover image for the challenge post the next day to give the author of the winning shot some more exposure and publicity.
Don’t forget to add a short background story for your entry with at least 30 words and let me just remind you one more time that only personal images will be accepted in the challenge.
There were many great entries submitted in the yesterday Prague/Czech Republic photo challenge and I had a hard time picking the best one. After a deliberate consideration, however, I decided to choose the following entry by @mariainesff:
The Church of Saint Lawrence in Prague is a church of the Old Catholic Church of the Czech Republic. It is located on Petřín hill, next to Petřín Lookout Tower and the Hunger Wall. It was originally a Romanesque church, later rebuilt in the Baroque style by Kilian Ignaz Dientzenhofer.

A fantastic area to explore and enjoy. I found trails really well sign posted and maintained. The ruins and views were beautiful! Nice walk in a beautiful nature, blooming red and white cherry trees all around and smelling lilacs in the air.
What a tremendous image and great place to be featured in today's edition. Thank you and have a great day. Tomas
I am glad you like my photo. Thanks to you & have a great day.
Beautiful Czech countryside with a corn field in the foreground captured just outside of the village of Dolni Zivotice in the Silesian - Moravian Region of the country. The clouds looked quite menacing but eventually, they did not bring any rain - unfortunately - as our country has been struggling with drought this year.
Love it!
Panorama of Cesky Krumlov in the Evening
More than many cities in Europe, the medieval character of Cesky Krumlov remains largely unchanged. Stepping into this city is a bit like moving backwards in time, crossing an invisible membrane between the present and the past. As medieval towns often did, Cesky Krumlov developed around a castle. Built in the 13th century, the castle gradually expanded into a compound, housing royalty and aristocrats.
Amazing place and fabulous image. Thank you.
Prague is a city where many movies and commercials are shot. During my visit to this city I had the opportunity to see one of the shutting of a commercial, it was set at the beginning of the XX century. I took several pictures in that occasion, today I share one of these photos. It was taken during the break of the shutting. The filming took place in Malá Strana.
CClassic Prague panorama about 30 minutes after sunset. On the picture you can see the Vltava river, Střelecký ostrov, Sovovy mlýny, St. Nicholas Church and, of course, Prague Castle. Castle regularly lights up 15-30 minutes after sunset in the winter months and it is earlier in the summer, then those 30 minutes.
Spectacular!
A beautiful view from the 'Harrachova skala' (1.035 m n. m.). We were lucky to have a nice weather for the hike. The city pictured is Spindleruv Mlyn. It is a ski resort town in northern Czech Republic’s. It's set within Krkonoše National Park.
Straight from the Valtice castle where the wine salon is located or situated.
This amazing shape of the bottle and the glass caught my attention to take this shot.
I decided to give it this black and white touch to connote ageing of the wine😊
I want some, lol.....
🥂🍾
😂
Picture was taken in the near proximity of the Prague Castle. Not sure if this are the guards marching to do the "changing guards ceremony" or meeting them was it just a coincidence, but they looked pretty concentrated on the task. We waved on them and got zero response :D
Kohl's fountain in the Prague Castle, also called "Lion Fountain" due to its sculpted decoration. Originating from 1686, it is one of the oldest in Prague. The sandstone fountain used to be a substantial part of Prague Castle's water system.
PD: Thank you very much for selecting my photo, Mr. Tomas.
This is the basement of Obecní dům, or Municipal House in Prague, a showcase of Art Nouveau architecture and design. When you consider how much thought has been put in the underground section of the building, you can imagine how splendid the rest is above.
