7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – North American Friday week #5 – winner announcement!

Hello fellow steemians!

It is my great pleasure to announce the winner of 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - North American Friday. I would like to say huge thank you to all the participants for their great entries. The amount of entries yesterday was pretty good with a high quality images so it was very hard to decide on the winning one. I would like to stress out that it is not always the picture itself but also the fact that the image needs a proper description somewhere around 30 to 50 words. It is shame to get a beautiful image that I cannot pick as the winning one since there is only few words added to it. Please bear that in mind for your next entries.

This photo is the 2nd sunset of 2017. I was in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico with a great group of friends and we chartered a boat for a sunset cruise on Jan 2nd. It really was the perfect way to end our New Years trip together.

What an amazing image from @schmidthappens for the North American Challenge. He is submitting some amazing images time after time. I have visited @schmidthappens blog and upvoted his post called: Black and White Flashback: Hollywood Half Marathon Finish Line. @schmidthappens stunning picture from Puerto Vallarta is qualifying for a weekly challenge that will be competing against the winning images from the past continents as below and the one coming from todays South American Saturday.

Rara lake, situated at Mugu distrist is the biggest and deepest natural fresh water lake of himayalas country Nepal. Since Rara lake lies at the altitude of 9,810 ft above sea level winter is very cold here with regular snowfall.But still the beauty beats everything after you reach here.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Australian Monday week #5 – winner announcement!

Enjoying the view from the peak of Mount Beerwah (Glass House Mountain National Park). The hike is about 3-4 hours long. This included steep, strenuous climb with sheer rock faces. There is a danger zone of where rocks can fall at any time. One of the requirements of the hike was that you have to be fit and be able to climb at 50-70 degree slope. Children are not recommended to climb Mount Beerwah but we still saw children with their family hiking up this strenuous climb. All in all, if you go to Glass House Mountain National Park, you should definitely do the summit route because you have that amazing view at the end.

I've had the priviledge to work on a number of secret military projects in my life. On one of them I found myself in a secret facility next to the Red Sea. Needless to say, at sunset after work, I went for countless snorkling sessions. The sea life in this area is incredible... I'll probably never get there again.

Last year, I finally got the opportunity to visit Venice, Italy for the first time. The beauty and magic of this city surpassed even my expectations. Everywhere you turn are incredible shots like this one. It's a city I look forward to visiting again.
