Hello fellow Steemians,
I hope you are all having a great day! :) As usually, I am here with my daily photo challenge where you can submit your personal images from your travels to Prague and other locations in the Czech Republic in the comment section below.
The best 15 entries of the day will get my upvote. I will then pick the absolute winner of the day from these 15 photos. The winning photo will be awarded with a bigger upvote and it will also be featured as the cover image for the challenge post the next day to give the author of the winning shot some more exposure and publicity.
Don’t forget to add a short background story for your entry with at least 30 words and let me just remind you one more time that only personal images will be accepted in the challenge.
There were many great entries submitted in the yesterday Prague/Czech Republic photo challenge and I had a hard time picking the best one. After a deliberate consideration, however, I decided to choose the following entry by @manoldonchev:
Old Prague Silhouette. A retro style coachman offering services to tourists in the middle of Old Town Square (or Stare Mesto). I took the photo during my three-days stay in Prague when I was invited there as the winner of an OSCE photo competition. I felt a little uncomfortable about the trip at first but now I consider it and the chance to take photos of the city the best reward.

From Štěchovice to Třebenice, according to the Vltava River, the hills of the Svatojánské Streams were thundering wildly, along the slopes of the hills a hiking trail. You will see the paths of the Svatoojánských Stream settlements from the viewpoints on the right bank of the Vltava River. You climb the forest to run for a moment to the water, climb again, and walk through the tunnel in the rock.
This Maj Lookout only shows how beautiful Czech landscapes are. Truly tremendous views indeed. What a fantastic entry to feature in today's edition. Have a great weekend.
Thank you very much.
Located at the foothills of the Jeseniky Mountains in the north-eastern part of the Czech Republic, the town of Krnov is home to just about 24,000 people but it boasts a beautiful historic center with several impressive pieces of architecture such as this charming historic square.
The Riverside in Prague is just perfect for long walks. You can stop at some cafés or buy something to eat or just walk down the sidewalk and explore the city. It's kind of relaxing.
Charles Bridge to be seen
A very special place to visit as it was built in the 12th century and has a great history. Make sure you touch the statue to make your wish come true. Hopefully you will see this on a tour so you get the full story . A must see.
Church of St Ludmila
I generally like churches, and this is one of those that captivates you. The church is huge, inside and outside it is very well designed. I certainly recommend visiting outside the Mass. Thanks to its location on Namesti Miru you can also use the nearby interesting restaurants. Combine pleasant church enjoyment with a nice dinner :)
Petrin Tower
Fantastic place to see the whole of Prague. 300 hundred steps to the top but well worth the climb as you are rewarded with the best views of this wonderful city. Lovely view from both halfway and top viewing platforms.
Historic Center Of Cesky Krumlov
A medieval and pretty little town, where you can walk down through the narrow streets into the town center. The quaint old streets are lined with Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque houses showing progression through the ages. The settings seem right out of middle ages, if you ignore the cars that is. Town Center has place to rest your weary feet, and buy refreshments, mementos etc.
PRAGUE CASTLE
MUST SEE AND MUST GO TO PLACE if you are in Prague. There are lots of different tours available. It takes about 4 to 5 hours to see the whole place in a relaxed and calm way. It is better to start the tour early in the morning and avoid weekends because if its get crowded then the whole fun gets spoilt. You should walk from the back and start from the back side.
St. Vitus Cathedral is just beautiful! It is grand on the inside and out. One must not miss this lovely church when visiting the city. The cathedral is a beautiful Gothic Architecture. It is ancient and historical. The decorations inside are beyond words. The stain glass windows are so colorful and lovely.
St Barbara, patron saint of miners and by extension explosive engineers. As a good catholic I should have known that but I am a modern catholic and Googled it. This town is a centre of the silver mining and coin minting industry. Consequently there were a lot of rich parishioners who were grateful to god for their good fortune who gave generously to their parish church. What a church. Words fail me.
