Prague/Czech Republic - Sunday photo challenge - share your personal pictures from your visit to the Czech Republic!
WARNING: The use of images that are not your own on which you claim the ownership will be flagged - HELPING TO STOP PLAGIARISM ON STEEMIT
Hello fellow Steemians,
I hope you are all having a great weekend :) As usually, I am here with my daily photo challenge where you can submit your personal images from your travels to Prague and other locations in the Czech Republic in the comment section below.
The best 15 entries of the day will get my upvote. I will then pick the absolute winner of the day from these 15 photos. The winning photo will be awarded with a bigger upvote and it will also be featured as the cover image for the challenge post the next day to give the author of the winning shot some more exposure and publicity.
Don’t forget to add a short background story for your entry with at least 30 words and let me just remind you one more time that only personal images will be accepted in the challenge.
There were many great entries submitted in the yesterday Prague/Czech Republic photo challenge and I had a hard time picking the best one. After a deliberate consideration, however, I decided to choose the following entry by @magnata:
Memorial at Petrshin hill in the Small town, It is seven bronze male figures descending down the stairs. The farther away, the figures become more and more "destroyed," they lose limbs, and fractures appear in the bodies. This should symbolize how political prisoners suffered from the communist regime. In the center is a bronze inscription indicating the number of victims of communism.

I rewarded @magnata winning entry with some extra upvote. Feel free to visit his blog and check out some of his other photos.

Prague is a city where many films, movies and commercials are shot. During my visit of the city, there were filming and I have the opportunity to take some photos. It was set in the time of the 30's, as it can be seen in the photos.
I just love your entry! Something very different from what we have seen in the past I don't know how many months. Definitely featuring this one as an entry to today's challenge. Great job!
Thank you for choosing my photo. I am very glad that you liked it.
Prague has its Twins too. Known as the Prague Towers, these impressive residential houses are located in Prague - Stodulky. Completed in 2011, the buildings were designed by famous Czech architect Zdenek Frey. I was lucky enough to live in one of these towers for some time. Image taken in September 2013.
Karlštejn is one of my favorite castles in the Czech Republic. It has the features of a real brutal castle. It's really hard to find a shooting point to show it all.
Nice. I havent seen a photo of the castle from this angle yet. Looks impressive.
This is a panorama from 3 frames from a wide-angle lens.
Then there is nowhere to go back)
Truly wonderful! Thank you so much. Tomas
Hi Tomas and fellow Steemians, glad to see that your awesome contest is still running strong. Long time no see. ;)
The architecture, colourful rooftops and impressive spires of Prague is a sight to behold! This photo looking towards the Old Prague Square was taken from the tower of the Prague Astronomical Clock.
Glad to see you back with this wonderful image Jaco! I see you are doing very well now, that makes me very happy! Tomas
Thanks Tomas. I would be nowhere if it was not for your amazing support! Jaco
Impressive view
I was walking around in the Castle District and got to this place by accident and was really impressed by the view. Prague is really beautiful and to have a place where you can see most of the city from above is very fortunate. Some of the best views from that hill. Thank you for your submission. Tomas
Thank you, Tomas!
Here I show a close-up of the Prague astronomical clock (Prague orloj), a large medieval astronomical clock which is mounted on the southern wall of the old town hall in the old town square. As you can see, it has three components: (i) the astronomical dial, representing the position of the sun and moon in the sky and displaying various astronomical details; (ii) "The Walk of the Apostles", a clockwork hourly show of figures of the apostles and other moving sculptures; (iii) a calendar dial with medallions representing the months. It is a mesmerizing piece of art and a true symbol for Prague and for the Czech Republic.
What a great close up and an entry. Thank you so much for your efforts! Tomas
Staroměstské náměstí is a historic square in the Old Town quarter of Prague. It is located between Wenceslas Square and the Charles Bridge.
he square's center is home to a statue of religious reformer Jan Hus, who for his beliefs was burned at the stake in Constance. This led to the Hussite Wars. The statue known as the Jan Hus Memorial was erected on July 6, 1915 to mark the 500th anniversary of his death.
Thank you so much for your wonderful submission. Tomas

I missed yesterdays Prague picture because I was way. :(
Today's picture is of "Church of Our Lady before Týn" in Old Town. I took it while watching a guy play with fire. It was pretty cool but I thought the view of the Church was incredible from where I was standing. Old Town is one of the best places in the world.
Great image, love it! Also thank you so much for you congratulation note:).....
Finally, I found a pic from Czech Republic. This Beautiful view from Jested in Liberec. Perfect place for hiking or lazy people can just take a cable car. :) And during winter time is a great place for skiing and snowboarding.
That is a wonderful picture. Thank you so much for posting it! Have a good one. Tomas
Thank you, Tomas!
The Loreto
The Loreto is a place of pilgrimage, where we can find a replica of the Santa Casa, Holy house, which was the little house where the Virgin Mary lived in Nazareth, when the Archangel Gabriel announced to her that she would be the mother of God. It was maintained by Capuchin friars. The façade is baroque and therefore very decorated and beautiful.
Great entry! Thank you so much. Have a wonderful day. Tomas
