Strange But Real, Desert in the Middle of Snow Mountains

About 40 km from Mount Kodar, Trans-Baikal area, Siberian Mountains, Russia, there is an unusual sight. The 37 km2 desert is a contrasting portrait of the white snow covering the mountains, this is Chara Sands or the Chara Desert.

This area is a special attraction for tourists, especially mountain climbers who want to see their own natural peculiarities here.
The 15-30 meter dunes stretch along the icy river at the base of the mountains. This sand dune really looks like the deserts of Egypt and its surroundings.
As far as the eye can see, only the typical light brown color of the sand will be visible. You will feel for a moment in the Middle East, minus the camel and cactus trees.
Allegedly, this desert was formed about 50 or 100 years ago. Triangle land that is in front of Mount Sakukan eroded by wind and weather. It produces small hills and deserts.
