5 Reasons to Visit San Miguel de Allende RIGHT NOW!
Reason #1. The Weather. San Miguel is at 6500 feet elevation in central Mexico and it is always around 70 degrees. Here's me at the Botanical Gardens on August 7th at noon.
Don't I look comfortable? It's much more pleasant than Austin, TX at noon in August, I can tell you that. (That's where we are from).
Reason #2. It's always a party. There is usually a parade, or fireworks or dancing or something fun going on near the Parroquia in El Centro.
Reason #3. The FOOD!!! I don't have any pictures of that but just trust me. It's Mexico. It's awesome. Fresh, local, organic and exploding with flavor.
Reason #4. The prices. 18.8 pesos to the dollar and taxis are 40 pesos anywhere. Your dollar goes a long way. Our house we rented was $440 for 8 days.
