There's a saying for Hangzhou,

If you want to know what paradise looks like , come to HangZhou.

Built around a lake (the West Lake) and by the mountains, Hangzhou is a thousands year old city, it has been famous for its artistic balance of nature and humanity, as well as rich culture of Taoism and Zen.

It's a quite modern city, but I like the nature and old fashion of it. Especially the soul of the city, the West Lake.

I could say 90% of the city is covered by greens. its an art of colors.

HangZhou is also famous for its green tea(Long Jing tea), here I was, hiking to the top the mountains, with tea farm all around me.

This is when the nature does its most!

And sometimes we even have a White West Lake

I lived in Hangzhou for a year, I still miss it now. I miss biking around the lake, I miss hiking up to the mountain top with creeks running and bird chanting, and then 20mins walking down along the man made path, you are right in the middle of the city, with the view of lake and silhouette of far side moutains in front to you, so poetic.
