Checking In From Pine Trees Surf Beach Hawaii

Hello friends, I’m back on the Big Island of Hawaii.

This beach is just north of Kona. It’s known by locals as Pinetrees, but has a new name after the resort/golf community recently built on the coast.
There was intense resistance for years to the development.

Before the “improvements” it was one of the few places that one could camp on the beach and surf.
There’s still camping I guess, but since we’ve been back, due to COVID, no camping is allowed.
