Why would anyone go to Tijuana Mexico?
In 2010 I was visiting San Diego for a business event. I knew Mexico was just a short drive away so I decided I would make a day trip south. Many people asked "Why would you want to go there?" That first day trip was an incredible experience. I discovered a city with great food, kind people and a bright wild energy.
Since that first trip I've been visiting Tijuana at least four times per year. I've seen the city's food scene flourish and a craft beer scene develop that rivals that of neighboring San Diego. The city has blossomed over the last seven years, but one thing has remained the same... the ever-present "Why would you want to go there?"
In May 2017 my friend Brian and I went to Tijuana with cameras in hand to answer this question. Tango Juliett is a short film about what keeps bringing me back to TJ.
