Jewels of Croatia - Istrian Adventure #1 - Lovran
This is what happens when you let a woman pack for a vacation. I tried to explain beforehand that we are going for only 7 days and that we don't need to haul a lot of baggage with us. Imagine what would have happened if I stayed quiet. „Well we got the room in the car“ was her's explanation. Good thing I have a large car (not). Next car I'm buying will be a FIAT 500. Let's see her pack then.Destination Lovran Istria.

Thinking on which beach are we going to (sweet worries). This part of Istria is really dog-friendly,so for all of you animal lovers I would suggest this location.
Lovran is just one of the many small towns on the Riviera. It's ideal for a quiet summer vacation with a family. Lungomare is a promenade that connects all these places and its 18 km long, so if you feel like walking or running would strongly recommend it. You also have an option to climb mountain Učka which rises behind the Riviera. Even though Učka is a national park you can go by car to the mountaintop and enjoy the scenery (well close to the mountaintop).
Got hungry from all the swimming and walking around. What can I eat around here? Maybe this is a good time to start a diet? (nah). Heading out to my favorite place to eat out around here "WINE BAR LOZA".We got there and found a note on the door that the place is closed permanently.OMG. Left the place sad remembering the fun times we had there and all the nice food we ate.Stopped for a drink at a nearby cafe and decided we would make dinner at home.Pasta to the rescue.

Sun, sea and good food, I'm having a blast. I was in Slovenia a couple of times.Did some hiking there. Logar Valley is heaven on earth.
