I am currently writing this post from within this very legend of a coffee shop. I brought my notebook to do so and I will type this out onto Steemit when I return home later tonight. The presentation of this place is that of a very upscale fancy restaurant. All of the workers are dressed quite well, wearing ties and or vests. If any of you are coffee addicts like myself you have heard of Blue Bottle. Well the Founder of Blue Bottle James Freeman has spoken about this place in his book The Blue Bottle Craft of Coffee. He states that this was a major influence for him so of course I had to go and check it out.
I find myself to like the 3rd wave style of coffee which is a much lighter roast and usually single origin. So that means the beans will be from a specific country or region. What I ordered here was their house blend based off of what I had read this was a good place to start. The beans here are definitely far from a light roast, actually this is some of the darkest roast coffee that I have ever had. They made the coffee using a pour over method which I like.

Three Pour overs going at once

They put a huge amount of ground coffee in this pour over and perfect because I like my coffee very strong. The quality is also very good, I can always tell by the way the coffee makes me feel. If the coffee is low quality I won't get a nice smooth stimulated feeling, I will feel more agitated and stimulated. I am feeling quite good writing this right now so I am happy. The flavor is very dark but still smooth and not very acidic. This is definitely the best dark roast that I have ever had.

I also ordered a maple chiffon cake upon recommendations that I had read on the internet. It was very good but this was also my first time having it so I have nothing to compare it to. It does go good with coffee I can tell you that.

The service here was great. Upon walking in they ask how many people and tell you where to sit. They then immediately bring you some water and a menu. The only draw back to this place is the price. The house blend I ordered for one cup is about 8 dollars and the cake was about 5. To me it was worth the price to come here and I did enjoy my visit.I am not going to lie though, I do still prefer my light roast coffee.

This was one of the things that excited me about coming to Japan the most. I love coffee and also Dragon ball haha. I do plan on going to some more places as well. They do have blue bottle as well which I went to my 2nd day here. It was good as well but I want to try some more of the traditional Japanese kissatens. Anyways that's all for now peace!
