WE LEFT EVERYTHING TO CONQUER THE WORLD, AND RUN A TRAVEL BLOG.
Hello! We are two - Lukasz, and Kasia, we are from Poland. We are together for 2 years, and almost all that time we are traveling - by car, buses, bikes, feet, and now we tried something different. One day we decided to get out from our homes, and leave everything. Just catch a car by hitchhiking and go.
Our main plan was to reach Pakistan, it looked crazy, and unreachable at the first time we thought about it, but actually we are here now, for more than two months, and we are preparing to enter India.
We passed through Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhzstan, Kyrgyzstan, and China. We believed in our plan from the beginning, just our friends were saying that it's not possible, and we will get killed by terrorists, or kidnaped.
We are type of people going to the places we shouldn't go, if someone warning us too much, we just feel a need to check this.
We saw Ukrainian soldiers going to fight Donbass war riding tanks, and trucks. We saw them sitting like badasses on the top of vehicles just staring at us holding their guns.
We felt like something stuck into our throats one guy suddenly turned into the dark Ukrainian forest, driving the road which didn't exist. It was just the shortcut to the border.
We reached Russian border at night, and we were investigated by officers for 2 hours, one by one, and than together. They were suspicious about our Ukraine visit, and Pakistani visa. We had to give contacts to our Ukrainian friends, numbers, addresses, we were asked where they work, and many other strange questions. Of course we didn't say anything what was true.
We slept just behind the Russian border in a tent, because it was too late to catch a car.
We almost died in old Lada car, driven by a young boy with his friends. We didn't even know that car can speed up to 150km/h, we felt like in a new Fast and Furious movie filmed in Russia, or straight from that "Drivers in Russia" YouTube clips. Rushing all the way to city Voronezh, youngsters almost crashed into incoming car from the side. All of them were pretty pissed on woman driver throwing empty packs of cigarettes at her. Fortunetly they dropped us 20 minutes after this happenned. Damn.
We were invited to one of the oldest houses in the village near Saratov, Russia. It was a house of our driver, his mother served us dinner, and tea.
We lost many hours at Kazakhstan stepped waiting for cars, they never came. But we waited, and waited, forever. Just asphalt, we, and steppes.
We slept all time in a tent in Kazakhzstan, when everyone was telling us not to do so, because wolves could eat us. Well, maybe we didn't seem tasty for them.
I (Lucas) was helping at Kyrgyzstan pig farm with castration. Never again.
We were investigated in China once again.
We slept at Chinese Police office, because it was so cold outside.
We drank selfmade wine, and vodka with Kalasha tribe in Pakistan.
We were escorted by army, and police for 200 km, and slept at Police station in Pakistan.
We made 8 hours road without nothing on the way just mountains having a food poisoning, shitting, and vomiting every 30 mins.
When we think about this stories now, we know that nothing will give us more happiness, and adrenaline than travel by our own.
Our next goal is to reach to even more unreachable places, tribes, refugees etc. We are heading to India, and Bangladesh. It is good to share more stories with you guys here. I hope you will enjoy!
