Steem Park is how a public area serves its true purpose! This park in Zagreb was revitalised by a small street festival. Awesome!
It’s called Crossover probably because the organisers didn’t want to bother with a specific style.
Eclectic, just like they say! This is what they offer. You still have three days to make it there!
I hope you are not one of the people who shun at the mention of street festivals.
It is located in the very center of Zagreb, just behind the Cathedral in the Ribnjak Park.

They start early when there is still plenty of daylight. I’ve casually chatted with a few people and the mood is wonderful. Everyone is sprawling in these lounge chairs and relaxing.
It shouldn’t be difficult to find a performer to your taste. If not that, there are stalls around selling a variety of beverages. Prices are, surprisingly, quite steep. I suggest buying something to drink in the nearby market. It is a public park after all, make use of it!
Did I taste some new brew? Of course! More about it tomorrow!

Music Festivals are a great way to bring a community together. I work as a stagehand on major festivals all the time (Gov Ball and Panorama in NYC) and it is always more fun to have a mix of music that draws a variety of people. Great photos and kudos to Zagreb for bringing together a festival in a local park!
