as a Kansas Citian, i think you nailed some of the prime spots. Joe's BBQ is an absolute MUST for anyone coming to town (and thankfully there's more than one location now...so there are TWO long ass lines to get the best bbq in town :P)
though i, myself, would never send anyone to the Power & Light district for real Kansas City entertainment, there are some fun spots down in that area that i could see being of value to out of towners. the reasons are too long to list here and the story too boring for most, but it's split the town in half for more than a few reasons.

Thank you! Joe's was seriously life changing. I live in the south and thought I knew BBQ. No way! That's a whole other level!
Sorry to hear that about Power & Light. Next time I visit I'll have to check out somewhere else!
