Travel South Africa – Art Shop in Hazyview
Today we made our way to Mpumalanga South-Africa, one of the most scenic provinces in the country and found ourselves in the small town called Hazyview.
~ The picture above is a painted piece of rock slate
We visited a formidable art shop that hosted an array of multimedia art based on the true theme of Africa.
A great deal of the art was created by incorporating a selection of natural materials found in the bush while others were made on uniquely created canvases such as large hand-crafted wall plates.
~ Some painted Ostrich Eggs
~ Painted Bamboo Plates
~ These plates are simply mind blowing, especially when you are standing right in front of them and realize just how big they actually are, and they are all made on a bamboo base.
There were also some raw metal sculptures as well as functional art.
~ Gemsbok sculpture
~ Coatrack made from horns
~ Various Horns sculpted into light fittings and candle holders
cool items in that shop! are they expensive? I would love to travel to south africa
Not by international standard a good piece would cost you about 240 USD, there are cheaper and more expensive ones depending of course on the artist as well as the art
