Hey steemers!
Today i wanted to share with you ,probably the cheapest air fare site i have found/used to travel cheaply!
I know most people think it costs and arm and a leg to fly around the world, but there are cheap and affordable options available!
I used to be one of those people who spend 800$ to fly to Ohio from Washington state, for a round trip ticket!
But after knowing some small simple Rules to cheap travel! you can stretch those dollars a lot farther!

  1. Book your flight on a Tuesday!

Booking Your flight on Tuesdays! Airlines will release weekly sales early on in the week , Which will cause competing airlines to do the same, doing this can get you up to 50-100$ off of your ticket price!

2.Book your flights with layovers

Face it we all want that direct flight, that takes us right to our destination!
But most of the time , that will end up costing you more in the long run. there are cases were a non-stop flight will be cheaper however in many cases, its actually more cost effective to book with lay-overs,
For example a flight from Seattle WA, to Dallas FW TX would cost 352$ on a non-stop flight, but with a layover inbetween, it would only cost 211$! thats over 100$ saved on flights .

However if you do choose a layover, make sure that you pick one with a few hours in-between flights!
there's nothing worse than having to make a run for it, so you wont miss a flight

3.Travel carry-on!

Checking bags now days get get pretty costly! ranging anywhere between 25$-100$ depending on how many bags you want to bring on and how many bags.
When Possible try to pack light weight, and only bring the necessities!
The airlines will sometimes even check your bags to your destination for free, if the plane is to crowded!
One important thing to remember however , remember the 3-1-1 liquid rule for packing carry-on!
The TSA'S Security rule for liquids in carry-on bags,
(3.4 oz bottles or less, in a quart-sized , clear plastic zip bag) one per passenger allowed)

4.Travel in the Off season!

Depending on your destination, you will want to look out for the 'Tourist' season!
I used to work in a 'Tourist town' name Leavenworth up the mountains of Washington , and even tho we were running
all year round, we had are specific busy and slow seasons!
Namely October fest and Christmas lighting!
Prices of plane tickets, lodging and restaurants tend to sky rocket during these season's,
and then go back down during the 'off' seasons.
Tho you may have to put up with some not so great weather , such as heavy rains, or snow!
The less crowded streets and stores and great prices are worth it!

5.Knowing where to buy

By far, one of the best places i have bought airline tickets off of has to be a site called "Shut up and go",
I came across it after watching two younger travelers on youtube called "Damon and Jo" , they travel the world
and show you how to do the same , for cheap!

One of the second best websites i have found is a website called "skyscanner" which is equally as good!
https://www.skyscanner.com/
and the 3rd website, is called "cheapoair" they are good as well, but always check at least three different websites to make sure you're getting the best with your money!
