Iceland trip (The Amazing Part 4)
Good afternoon my friends today i will show one the most amazing part of Iceland (last one will be that of glaciers). This day we traveled the so called Golden Circle a popular tourist route in southern Iceland, covering about 300 km looping from Reykjavík into the southern uplands of Iceland and back.
There are several sites offering this route BUT i would advice you SKIP them and do it with your friends. It is very easy trip, roads are good and you will have no problem at all, you can save lot of money and most of all you can spend in each place the time YOU WANT and not what group leader decides. Especially when you arrive at Gulfoss cascade you may want to spend several hours there to admire nature's power. For sure it is something unique for Europeans (i cant say the same for Americans of Africans who have larger cascades to admire).
Golden circle consists of three main landmarks Þingvellir National Park, the Gullfoss waterfall, and the geothermal area in Haukadalur, which contains the geysers Geysir and Strokkur. If you are brave enough in Pingvellir you can dive too to see the boundaries between North American Tectonic plate and Eurasian tectonic plate. But for sure this should be better done with the help of an expert.
Lets see some photos from our way to this National Park (driving through this area you can also see many traditional Icelandic horses) and geysers (Strokkur usually erupts every 5-10 minutes).

Afterwards we moved south to see the famous Gulfoss cascade. When you reach the place you see nothing, you go down the stairs and suddenly WOW this is what comes spontaneously from your soul!!! It is simple an AMAZING view, the power of the nature in front of view, powerful tons of water vanishing in the heart of the earth. Look my photos to see (please bear in mind that surface is icy so be careful as if you drop there is no comeback :D)
