I lived in Hawaii for 4 years. Was stationed in Pearl Harbor and lived in North Shore. Great place. I loved every minute of it. I can tell you, if you're a fan of the natural, with much less urban, you owe it to yourself to visit Kauai. Beautiful and tropical. Each island is so drastically different, you really should try visiting them all. You won't be disappointed
